The British Railways Standard Class 7MT was a class of 4-6-2 steam locomotives designed by Robert Riddles, of which 55 were built between 1951 and 1954. Loco's in this class took their names from former Star Class locomotives, great Britons and Scottish firths. The last 7MT was withdrawn from service in 1968.

Two locomotives came into preservation - 70000 Britannia and 70013 Oliver Cromwell - and both are currently in steam. Both are included in this superb pack along with nameplates that cover every locomotive in the class.

This collection features highly detailed BR 7MT locomotives in six variants, with black and green liveries in clean, intermediate and heavily weathered conditions. Region-dependent details are available on all variants; these can be set via the Scenario Editor and include Western Region lamps for Western Region locomotives and Southern Region discs with lamp irons on the smokebox door for Southern Region loco’s.

You can now enjoy driving this magnificent class of locomotive in Train Simulator and experience its range of Advanced features which have all been developed to the very highest standards. 10 exciting Standard scenarios are included,  with an approximate driving time of 13 hours, as well as three Free Roams.

Step back in time and take command of a Class 7MT in the days of British Rail. Each variant includes a choice of original, Midland Region or Western Region deflectors, BR1, BR1A and BR1D tenders (with automatic cab conversion when coupled to BR1D tenders) and all 55 numbers, complete with 3D nameplates for the 54 named loco's.

These superb renditions of the two surviving Class 7MTs faithfully recreate the numerous details that make each loco so individual. With preserved details such as OTMR (On Train Monitoring Recorder) (non-operational), cab lighting and electronics, TOPS numbers, Train Stop Override, modern warning flashes and dual braking for 70000, these simulations give you a taste of what it must be like to drive these celebrity loco’s on famous heritage railways and across the UK’s busy modern main line network.
The 70000 Britannia simulation includes dual brakes for operating vacuum- and air-braked trains, so listen out for the air compressor!

Works fresh…
Looking spectacular in polished and lined out Deep Bronze Green! From the days when sheds actually took a great deal of pride in their loco’s, this will look good at the head of an express passenger or special. You can choose between early emblem and late crest versions of each clean tender.
Been in service a little while now…
Getting quite grubby now, but nothing that some kerosene, a rag and polish can’t fix! Passenger loco’s looking like this would have been a fairly common sight in the late 50s and early 60s. Only late crest tenders are available for this variant.
Looking for a bit of TLC, please…
Oh dear… Is it green? Is it black? Is it lined out? Who knows! Whilst mechanically sound, this variant is really looking for some TLC but, sadly, is unlikely to get it before meeting the cutter’s torch. Despite its disgraceful cosmetic appearance, this will look very atmospheric on a stopping passenger or heavy freight set in the mid to late 60s – or maybe even on the odd express passenger train to cover for a broken down Class 40 diesel. There is a late crest under that tender grime somewhere, we think.

This BR 7MT Advanced package includes three types of Mk.1 coach created by Just Trains. All are complete with passenger view, a unique leaking steam effect from the coach heating system and connecting vacuum hose pipes and steam heat pipes. The steam heating can be turned on and off from the locomotive footplate control.
The Mk.1 coaches are in BR Maroon, BR Blood & Custard, BR Chocolate and Cream, Southern Region Green and WCR Red liveries.

The BR 7MT Advanced includes features that will assist both novice and experienced drivers:
ActivHints: This will post messages to help you drive and fire the locomotive so that it runs efficiently. ActivHints can be turned on or off.
ActivFireman: As a new steam loco driver, you may not be sure about how to control the firing and watering of the boiler. No problem! Switch on ActivFireman and he will take care of all that! If you want to just drive and admire the views, switch on ActivFireman and let him do all the work.

We have tried to replicate as far as possible the typical operations of a real steam locomotive, with these Advanced features giving you a genuine feeling of what the real 7MT locomotives are like.

  • 70000 Britannia and 70013 Oliver Cromwell with preserved details such as OTMR (On Train Monitoring Recorder) (non-operational in the sim), cab lighting and electronics, TOPS numbers, Train Stop Override, modern warning flashes and dual brake equipment (70000 Britannia only)
  • Realistic steam chest behaviour
  • Simulated Malesco superheater header multiple valve, including a pilot valve and three main valves
  • Regulator dynamics – tap the regulator handle in small increments, or quickly slam it open or shut
  • Operating snifting/anti-vacuum valves that protect the cylinders from damage when there is no passage of steam through the cylinders
  • Realistic reverser behaviour - lock the reverser in place when the driver is not moving to prevent it creeping into forward gear
  • Realistic brake simulation, with vacuum brakes that take longer to apply or release depending on the length of the train, simulated diffusion of air into and out of the train pipe, and locomotive and tender steam brake that can be applied by controlling the vacuum brakes and vacuum reservoir or by directly using the graduated steam brake handle
  • ActivScript Automatic Warning System (AWS)
  • ActivScript wheel animation, wheelslip and wheelskid, where the script takes the responsibility of simulating and correctly rendering the wheel animation
  • Chuff sounds and exhaust effects are always synchronised with the wheels, even during wheelslip and wheelskid
  • Weather and seasons have a direct effect on adhesion
  • Realistic water levels and gauges
  • Priming simulation
  • Regulator jamming
  • Permanent damage and solvable performance supressions, including superheater cracking, wear induced by lack of lubrication, build-up of ash in the smokebox, cylinder explosion due to too much water in the cylinders and loss of connecting rods when wheelslip goes out of control
  • Directional sanders, with a limited supply of sand in the sandboxes
  • Realistic dampers and fire temperature control
  • Intelligent and advanced firing, with 'lumps' of coal thrown into the fire instead of a steady stream
  • Photorealistic fire textures and flickering fire glow effects.
  • Davies & Metcalfe exhaust injector – use exhaust steam from the cylinders, or automatically switch over to live steam from the boiler when the steam chest pressure is very low
  • Tender controls – click on the Bardic lamp for some light in the cab, turn the handbrake and open the coal doors to view the coal
  • Working tender water gauge
  • Warm mode and Hot mode - prepare your loco in Warm mode by opening the smokebox door to clear out the ash, prime the lubricators, fill the sandboxes and conduct the boiler blowdown to blow out the impurities in the water. Alternatively, start off in Hot mode, where all of these tasks have been completed. and you’re ready to go.
  • Locomotive disposal at the end of a hard shift. Clean out the smokebox, blow the boiler down, open the ashpan doors and empty the firebox with the rocking grate
  • Coach steam heat control – see the steam leak out of the carriage steam heat pressure relief valves and sometimes shoddy piping!
  • Intelligent communication between a growing number of Advanced locomotives – couple one or more BR 7MTs together, or double-head with a Just Trains 5MT, 4MT, Clan or Manor, for synchronised cylinder drain cocks control, regulator and to communicate with a little whistle toot!
  • Advanced photorealistic smoke and steam effects
  • Highly realistic and detailed external animations - regulator linkage, loco brake linkage, sandbox lids, smokebox door, cab side windows, cab sliding roof hatches, cylinder cock actuator valve and mechanical lubricators
  • Fully customisable headcodes
  • Visible raindrops on the windows of the exterior model
  • Headboards – a selection of headboards can be fitted to 70000 Britannia or 70013 Oliver Cromwell on the fly, or pre-set at the start of a scenario, including The Hook Continental, Cumbrian Mountain Express and Torbay Express
  • Advanced AI – AI trains whistle on starting to move and open and close their cylinder drain cocks automatically. In bad weather, AI trains may even wheelslip and apply the sanders intelligently. For other loco's in the player consist, such as in double-headers, other BR 7MTs have a more 'human' personality in their response to the player driver and loco. They self-manage their cylinder cocks and reverser at standstill. They try to copy the player driver’s use of the regulator and reverser but only after they’re confident that the player needs them to provide assistance and isn’t just dabbing the regulator momentarily to maintain momentum, and only if they’re not wheel slipping themselves. When at a standstill, they will only get ready when you warn them with a short toot on the whistle, otherwise you will pull them away when they’re not prepared – they’ll soon let you know about that!

  • Headcode – you can change the headcode to whatever you like, whenever you like
  • Bardic lamp – useful for when it gets a bit dark in the cab
  • Opening cab side windows and roof vents
  • Driving in a double-header – before you start to move off, you should inform the other driver that you’re ready to go by pressing [B] to do a short whistle toot. The other driver will put his loco into gear and, once he is ready, will toot back to you. Once he has tooted back, you can set off. If you fail to inform the other driver that you want to go, his loco will leave in mid-gear and he will get into a panic trying to get his loco ready whilst you’re pulling him away!

Normal JustSim Scenery, nothing special about it but way better than default.
I'm surprised by the Number of Researches I've done for Months on this Plane. Travelling Forums and Reading Reports posted by people who own this product 777 Captain || for P3DV4. So i Finally Decided to Try it out for Myself and i Must Say!! (The Real Honest Truth Of course!! ✋) This plane is So Amazing and Fun to Fly!! It's very FPS friendly on My Low End PC ( I get 23-32 in VC and 27-38 in External View; Even at Heavy Airports Like FB KSFO) And i Currently haven't Found One Single issue!! Or Complaint!! -
Take-off and Landing the plane is very Realistic! I'm Using P3D 4.5 HF3 on Laptop. There are even ways you can make it compatible with P3DV5 on CS Forum! And Plenty of liveries!! A-
nd it's easy and simple to master the technique's of the Aircraft if you are someone like me who doesn't like to understand that complex stuff like PMDG that's Way too Expensive. When you can save alot more! And the best part!! The plane is more cheaper on Simmarket compared to the CS Store! This definitely gives you the advantage to save some Money. A Must have Plane for sure! Alongside With a Full Beautiful interior Passenger Cabin!! Fantastic to Tour the Cabin During Cruise When AutoPilot is Engaged of course! The Cabin Animations are mind-blowing!! -
Controlling The Passenger Seats And Converting Them into Beds just Wowed Me!! Not just that!! You can control the passenger Window shafts, Arm rest Table's On All Seats! (Business and Economy), And Open and Close Doors to Mysterious Places on the Plane LOL! Almost Feels like I am inside a Real Triple 7 in Real Life! I Love this plane so much! The Cockpit is well detailed Too! I have Spent so many hours with it and completed my first TEN Flights with it. No Bugs, No Errors and I'm Truly Pleased!! Sim FPS remains smoothly positive at the start of Load up and throughout the entire flight!! And Some tips and tricks to boost up FPS even At Greater level are available on the CS Forum too! I Also Have the -300ER and -Freighter Expansion's Installed and they work and fly Perfectly as I Expected!! Better get back to Business!! A Must Have Plane for Sure!! 1000 Stars!! Grea-
t Job Captain Sim!! Commen-

All is good except the night. I personally find the terminal look as if it has no windows, and given the interior of the terminals are not as well developed. the overall night scenery is somewhat disappointing.
For 8 Euros this a steal, compared to the other competition this is a no brainer. You wont regret it.
Brilliant little airplane for the price. The sounds are *not* based on the VW engine. The engine sounds like something on a Kitfox. I would move this review to five stars if the engine sounds were improved to something resembling the actual VW engine. It handles great, It is fun to takeoff and land. It is a neat cockpit view. Great module, great value :)
Great aircraft. All around this thing is a joy to fly. Only giving 4 starts for a few grips. The afterburner effects could use some work. Hard to cold start it on your own the throttles click box is two big and will not allow you to get to some of the switch's that are needed to get the engines up and running. Hop-
efully that will be fixed and it will be an easy 5 star.
What can I say this is as basic as it gets. And worse yet, two of the planes are so broken they don't fly I bought this for the sole fact that its the only place to get a Zero in MSFS as far as i'm aware. This unfortunately for me is sub par and should really be freeware. We will start with the good. THE GOOD: -Each of the 4 aircraft have their out custom functional cockpit. -The exterior models are very well done in terms of modeling. -Mos-
t all control surfaces are animated except for the tail wheel stays straight when you turn on the ground. -The aircraft carriers are a nice touch. You can't spawn on them but you can land and take off after your already in the air. THE BAD: -While each plane has its own cockpit. They are very lacking in detail. Good start but lacking many, many, things in the real cockpits -The Val and Kate are the worst offenders here as those cockpits feel the least polished. -The flight model for the Zero is flyable but leaves a bad taste. The top speed and acceleration feels to slow compared to the specs it should have and the roll rate is abysmal. -The Val in all liveries has two to three black dots about 5 feet above the cockpit in the aircraft model and is easily visible in external views. -RJX8 additions and alterations are nice but so far i noticed in you get close to the water there are huge waves as if the water is painted onto rolling hills near the shore heading to the carriers. Looks very bad as were talking like 20 to 30 meter elevation changes on what should be flat water. THE BROKEN: The Val and the Kate.... Are completely unflyable. If you take off from the ground you can get to about 100 knots and you are maxed. If you try to pull up in the slightest you will stall and fall. You will never acquire enough airspeed to actually fly this plane with one exception. I have tried multiple things to correct this, at first i thought they were just overweight for some reason as that's exactly what they fly like. Way over weight, this did not fix the problem. Flaps up, flaps down, full fuel, low fuel. No change. Just unflyable and broken. The only way i have found around this is to start your flight already in the air. This seems to fix whatever the issue is. They still have a sub par flight model, but they at lease fly. Useless to me as I want to start on a ramp. -------

Do not purchase this unless you like me are in love with old world war two birds, only other saving grace is the carriers. Th-
is could be a great package for 20 dollars. You can tell it started off with love that ran out and just turned into a cash grab. Curren-
t state this should be freeware. Maybe they will update but that remains to be seen.
Bought it through their website, and used their products since FS2004. I would like to say that I’m very pleased. It feels very nice hand flying it, the turbochargers actually work, the sounds are deafening and immersive. Texture wise Flysimware stepped up and offered a pretty beautiful airframe and cabin. Adding the GTN750 third party addons makes this machine perfect for any mission. The systems are accurate, from fuel control to the pressurization system! I highly recommend it, and I’m glad to see Flysimware in MSFS!
Simply outstanding! Lived in HKG, flown in and out so many times, I can say this scenery is 100% top class. Updated 3rd RWY patch was released this month, so this is great. Wish other developers were like that. Plus, any question I have i.e. re static aircraft were answered by the Developer within 24 hours. Nice!
This brings the city of Manchester to life! Superb detail textures and landmarks. And it works well with UK2000 MAN. Also, the support I needed from AC Scenery was excellent.
