Xining Caojiapu International Airport (Xining Caojiapu International Airport; IATA: XNN, ICAO: ZLXN), located in Haidong City, Qinghai Province, China, 28 kilometers away from the center of Xining in the northwest and about 8 kilometers away from the urban area of Ping'an District, Haidong City in the southeast, is a 4E-level international airport, a regional aviation hub, and a plateau airport (2184.2 meters above sea level)
The airport can take off and land A330-200 passenger aircraft up to the maximum and has a tourist route for king air 350 small passenger aircraft.

Scene features:
1. Landmark buildings such as terminals in the scene have custom 3D models, except for buildings that are called MSFS2020 The default model under the fs-base folder in the SDK is used as decoration, and there are few custom models.
2. Have a complete set of custom navigational aids and taxiway signs.
3. Runway grounding signs that are in line with reality.
4. Manually corrected ILS.

Some known issues with the current scenario, please read before purchasing:
1. There is a problem with the canopy animation of the custom covered bridge Unable to dock with the aircraft normally, waiting for the author of the custom covered bridge to troubleshoot the problem and may fix it in subsequent updates. This issue does not affect the normal experience in cockpit view.
2. MSFS SDK does not have an easy-to-use terrain editing tool, there are many mountains around Xining Airport, in order to trim out a terrain that does not affect the take-off and landing of aircraft, the surrounding peaks are reduced in height, and the peaks on the north side of the runway are the most affected, the terrain is far from reality, and the airport elevation and runway entrance elevation are different from reality. Due to the application of new terrain generation techniques in the MSFS2024, compatibility of this scene on MSFS2024 is not guaranteed.
4. After testing, the night lighting effect of T1 terminal is not good, so no night lighting is added, and night flights should start from T2 terminal.

Notes:
1. Xining Airport does not have any entry and departure procedures in MSFS, but the arrival and departure waypoints still exist, and you can manually enter the waypoints with reference to the aeronautical chart to complete the arrival and departure procedures or execute the VOR procedures.
2. The latitude and longitude on the number plate are the results read by the GPS of the model from MSFS, which may not be consistent with reality.

This scenario was established around August 2024 and completed in December 2024, which took a lot of time and energy.
