The Tailwind W10 'Bush Edition' is a 2-seat, single-engine, home-built light civil aircraft developed by American aerospace engineer Steve Wittman and radically modified by custom aircraft builder Craig Thomas. This aircraft variant has been greatly modified and features a heavier airframe to endure hard landings, a wider wingspan with added 6 feet to the wings. The new variant has 22 gallon tanks in each wing, plus the main tank having 20 gallons. The massive prop requires a very high, highly modified landing gear which can also endure rough landings. This is a STOL Short Take-off and Landing aircraft. The original Tailwind design, the W8, was introduced in 1953 and a number of Tailwind variants were engineered in the ensuing decades. The W10 evolved from the W8 and features tapered wingtips for improved aerodynamic efficiency and a tricycle undercarriage. More than 350 Tailwinds, including all variants, have been built. The Tailwind W10 features a strut-braced, high-mounted main wing with tapered wingtips, side-by-side seating, and a tricycle undercarriage. The simple, boxy fuselage is constructed with steel tubing covered in fabric. The wing and empennage are framed with wood and covered in fabric. The Tailwind W10, like all Tailwind models, is renowned among pilots as simple, rugged, reliable, forgiving, and a great overall performer. The W10 is well suited for beginners learning to fly as well as seasoned aviators looking for a great cross-country cruiser. The Tailwind W10 measures 19 feet, 3 inches in length, stands 6 feet, 3 inches tall, and has a wingspan of 26 feet, 11 inches. It is powered by a 6-cylinder Lycoming IO-540 piston engine that delivers up to 260 horsepower and turns a 2-blade propeller. The W-10 Bush Edition Tailwind has a range of 600 miles, a service ceiling of 16,000 feet above sea level, it climbs at 1000 feet per minute, and it has a top speed of 200 miles per hour.

This package features some 4K resolution textures but is not rated as a high end graphics aircraft package. It is friendly to lower end performance computers. If you can run the planes of MSFS on your computer nicely, this too should work very nicely also.
This package is for MSFS only.

It would be outstanding if you could update the G3X to the new version. Other than that it is a fun little plane.

I am giving this plane 5 stars, not because it has the best textures, or that it has custom sounds, or even custom Bush Wheels (I suspect they were borrowed from the base sim XCub and modified for this build). I am giving it 5 stars because: 1. It is fun to fly, it has a sort of cult interest to it for me. 2. There are quite a few liveries,(even though just less than half of them are very low-quality w/ no PBR Texture work, the other half are good, and you can tell there has been some PBR texturing done, they have that depth to them that only PBR could really do. 3. The flight model feels good, seems realistic to what you would think this plane could/should do. 4. The sounds are good, even though they are reused base sim stuff either entirely or mostly, they seem to fit the bird and have no major issues aside from doors opening and sound not changing or getting louder. (Kind of dissappointing when you have the option to take the doors off but then can’t/don’t want to because it sounds so weird being muffled with no doors as it should change the sound to a more open and louder overall sound. 5. The developer isn't claiming that it's the best plane ever (or Study Level), charging a ton of money for it and then turning off their YT comments when things go downhill. 6. AP works great, even the NAV and ALT LVL Hold ????. As a streamer leading open group flights, we fly for hours sometimes and you know, I gotta use the bathroom but want to keep the pace for the rest of the group. By the way, you are all welcome to come fly with us -> https://twitch.tv/burstixtv . The group flights are a lot of fun and a great way to shake it up a little bit even if you are an airliner person! Bottom Line, if you are looking for something interesting and unique to fly that can be bought with your McDonalds money, AKA less than the price of a Big Mac Meal, then this is your plane! If you are looking for perfection, then you should know, it doesn’t quite have that, but it is a solid little bush plane and FUN TO FLY! With this developers style, I think it would be great to see them give a little more effort in the areas of development they are lacking in and unlock their full potential. I do whole heartedly understand that sometimes developers just do quick fun projects. With that said, I like this plane enough to pay $20-$30 for it if it included a full PBR textured livery set, custom sounds (with the doors changing sound as they should), More features like swappable GNS530/TDS750/PMS750. And whatever other little things this developer would add in if they had charged more for it. To Lionheart, hear me out when I say this, I like you guys, and I support you with a few planes now, but take the leap when you can, go the extra mile because I would pay for what I mentioned above in a heartbeat and “you can dooooooo eeeeet!” Lol. Super fun little plane. Initially released with a pretty big bug related to a few liveries, and the developer had it fixed a few hours later. If you like quirky planes, and superstol aircraft, this will be right up your alley. It's fast as heck, too.
