Description

This is the incredible new Quest Kodiak by Quest Aircraft Corporation in Sandpoint Idaho. This is a turboprop powered 10 passenger, high endurance bush plane designed for all the elements of the world. Featuring STOL capabilities, a rugged landing gear and airframe, a new dual wing foil design, and a large clamshell style door for uploading cargo and passengers more easily.

This unique, high tech bush plane comes equipped with the state of the art Garmin G1000 panel system linked with the modern S-Tec Five-Fifty X Auto Pilot system. The Flight Sim version of the Kodiak features a low resources MFD GPS panel system that is designed to use less computer power to render the map, and also can be turned off into 'sleep mode' for added frame rate performance.

This package is a high detail Flight Sim addon and features 10 models and 7 different texture packs and liveries. This features a fully decked out Rescue Air-Ambulance version, passenger model, and a 'filled to the top' Cargo plane. Each model comes with an optional Belly Pod, and also 3 versions of Amphibious float planes, one of each of the base models, (Rescue, Passenger, and Cargo).

This newest 'Build 2.00' has been totally rebuilt and features an all new instrument panel system, faster Garmin system, high resolution texture packs, more refined parts meshes, extreme detail with super small parts being shown, and now also includes a fully FSX 'pure' model version complete with DDS DXT5 format textures, FSX models, and 3 dimensional bump mapping, showing all rivets and panel lines in a 3D high realism view.

Lastly, this also features a 'High Performance Texture Pack' with an auto-installer that loads a set of textures that are all 'standard resolution'. This is for those who might have slower computers or less powerful laptop computers.

Please note, the Amazon 7 Village scenery is no longer fully supported and is not (not) included in the FSX version of this package. Saved FS2004 flights for the Adventures are no longer in this package. The maps are included in the Panel folders only.

I have what’s technically a lower powered PC but still find the lesser textures to be very nice nonetheless. The plane has a great many livery and load out options. The only thing I don’t like is how the waterborne versions behave. They just don’t stop even when applying minimum throttle to move slowly, it drifts forever making docking very difficult. They can be stopped by using reverse thrust, but this is difficult to manage in tight spaces. Other than that the planes look and fly great, a very nice alternative to the old C208 and faster! Cargo pod doors do not open by the way just passenger and front doors.

Ein ausgezeichneter Flieger! Schönes Außenmodell, ausgezeichnete Avionik, sehr gute Flugeigenschaften. Als Abwechslung zu Cessna & Co wirklich sehr zu empfehlen!

I love this aircraft. They did a great job. It is one of the best I've ever had. Makes me want to fly one in real life :)

maybe a notch below Carenado quality, yet a really enjoyable bird to fly the flight model seems to be better than average, resembling those less forgiving general aviation planes featured in X-plane thanks

Awesome plane!! Very good framerates even with the high quality textures! I was very suprised they are way better than most freeware fps. Flies great and has alot of very cool details. I was a little leary at first because of lionheart being a relativly small unknown developer but they did a great job! The only con is that I I think that it doesnt have its own sounds I believe it uses the caravan sounds. but they do sound great and I think they use the exact same engine anyways... Get this plane!

release 2.0 of the Kodiak is super. great flight characteristics, turbo and you get a well done 3D float plane. the G1000 is outstanding and you can download for free HD texture files for the G1000. nice touch. Also Lionheart added some special feaures for the G1000. you can declutter the map or you can shut the map off if you need the framerates for FSX. great price too and 70 livery/config options. well done
