X-Plane has railways everywhere, but almost nothing runs on them.

Live Trains Traffic changes that. Passenger and goods trains run on the real

railway under your wings: over X-Plane's bridges and viaducts, through its

tunnels, into the stations. They stop at the platforms with their doors open,

wait behind each other like on a real railway, and look like the trains of the

country you are flying over.

Over Finland you see the real thing: every train near you is where it really

is right now, at its real speed, with its real number.

TRAINS EVERYWHERE

- Passenger and goods trains on the railway around your aircraft, all over the

world, on X-Plane's own track.

- Each country its own trains and colours: red regional trains in Germany,

yellow double-decks in the Netherlands, high-speed trains in France and

Japan, long freight trains in America with double stacks, tank and grain

trains, single- and double-deck passenger trains, and much more.

- Electric trains only where the line has wires; diesels elsewhere.

- Trains keep left or right as each country does.

- Passenger trains stop at the stations and open their doors; goods trains

run through.

- Trains keep their distance: they slow down and wait behind a slower train,

and two trains never meet head-on on the same track.

LIVE TRAINS IN FINLAND

- Over Finland the real trains run live, from Finland's open railway data:

each one where it really is, at its real speed, with its real number

(IC 27, Commuter R 9873 ...).

- They stand at the stations when the real ones do, with their doors open.

- In the plugin's window, live trains are shown in green, simulated ones in

yellow, so you always know which you are watching.

- One button switches live trains off.

STATIONS, DAY AND NIGHT

- Platforms with shelters where the trains stop (X-Plane has no stations of

its own), placed so they never stand on another track.

- People waiting on the platforms.

- At night: lit windows and headlamps on every train, lit platforms and

shelters, and red tail lamps - steady on passenger trains, flashing on

goods trains.

- Where your scenery already has its own stations, our platforms can be

switched off.

WATCH THEM

- A live map window with every train around you, its speed and its next stop.

- A train camera with several views: chase, side, front, cab and lineside.

Orbit, zoom, raise or lower it; it moves on to the next train by itself.

- Follow any train on the map with a click.

EASY TO INSTALL

- The railways are ready: nothing to build, nothing to set up.

- Copy one folder into X-Plane's plugins folder, start X-Plane twice, fly.

- No X-Plane file is changed. Remove the folder and X-Plane is as before.

FOR SCENERY DESIGNERS: YOUR OWN TRAINS

- With the free Train Pack Editor, scenery designers can put their own train

models into Live Trains Traffic and have them run around their airport.

- Ship the trains inside your airport's download: customers install the

airport as usual and your trains come with it.

- Your trains get everything the plugin's own trains have: stations, spacing,

night lights, doors, tail lamps, the camera.
