I picked this up from the Marketplace but wanted to chime in here since nobody else has. First off the price is a bit high for what you get, but it’s not so high that a purchase would be regrettable. That said I actually really like flying this CJ3+.
The textures are ok. Not great, not bad, but fair and passable. The things that bother me are the lack of ground candy, like no chocks, no flags, nothing. It’s not a big deal but it seems weird considering the price tag. The door opens and stairs can be extended either by tablet or manually. Baggage hatches front and back can be opened and closed via the tablet. No luggage though.
There are 2 major aspects that make me appreciate this add on most. First is the believable flight model. I’m not a real world pilot, but having decades of experience with Flight Simulators, and reading up on many aircraft such as the CJ3+ leave me with the impression of a well simulated flight model. Obviously I can’t be certain as nothing can replace real world experience, but I feel pretty good about this aircrafts behaviors in flight. It just seems right.
The second thing is the interior is loaded with goodies, and eye candy. You can open the cupboards and drawers of which many are full of snacks, entrees and drinks. You can serve these to the passengers but only come into view if the table is drawn open. If you click on the various treats you you’ll hear various sound effects of crunching, swallowing and even the occasional belch. If you run out of food or drink you can replenish it all via the tablet. There are a couple Easter eggs I don’t want to spoil but I encourage new owners to explore the cabin opening and closing everything you can click on all the way to the back.
It might seem silly to have all these arguably pointless extras, but I’m glad they are.
The tablet does a really good job of allowing the user to load the aircraft, importing flight plans from SimBrief and much more.
This is one of the better biz jets but sadly not near study level.
It is quite easy to start intuitively but checklists are also available. None of the circuit breakers work and there are more inop switches and buttons than I would prefer but it still is a better than good offering.
Not many liveries but of the 7 included there are a couple that really stand out to me as quite nice and unusual.
Sounds and lighting are all good. Not too loud not too quiet. Excellent lighting controls including one setting that makes you want to dance.
In short this is a worthy and fun addition to the limited bizjets available. One of 4 I am keeping installed.
