The long anticipated "RealTurb Europe" package is now released, being the pre-final package before reaching (with the rest of RealTurb packages) a worldwide coverage with RealTurb effects!
"RealTurb Europe" covers the whole European continent with the RealTurb effects (see coverage map in screenshots section)!
A complete terrain analysis is done, inducing the appropriate effects, which are not limited to the terrain in the vicinity of the airports! Instead every single hill/mountain/terrain within the continent of Europe, is analyzed in terms of aircraft position and prevailing winds, inducing dynamically the expected real world effects of turbulence, wind shifts, speed fluctuations and windshear, into a dynamically created lateral and vertical envelope to match real life behavior.
And all this is done automatically without any user input required, raising the immersion to the top level!
Now, just like in real life, every take off / approach will feel different depending on the weather conditions! Wind coming from the sea or from flat land area, will be much less demanding compared to wind coming from a hill or mountainous area.

No performance impact.
Compatible just with default Prepar3D v4.4 / v4.5 +, however to get the best out of it,
Activesky for Prepar3D v4.4 / v4.5 + is recommended.
Compatible with any aircraft, being default or add-on.
Supported Prepar3D version is v4.4 / v4.5 + even though it should work without any issues on any v4.0+ version.
NOTE: "RealTurb Greek Airports" and "RealTurb Summer Destinations" must be uninstalled before installing "RealTurb Europe", as they are also included in this package.

Install was easy, just install and forget about it.
I flew flight simulators since 2009 and the first thing I found to be really different when starting to fly real airliners was the feeling of flying was totally different.
Turbulence effects were one of these points.
RealTurb adds a lot of these effects into flight simulation.
Flying an approach to Edinburgh with the winds coming over the hills is finally no longer as simple as flying a wind calm cavok day as it used to be, even with Active Sky. Now you have to work to get that aircraft on the ground, even if it is a 60t 737 and not just a 1,1t Cessna.
Flying around the Canaries in the ATR also became a lot more fun than it used to be!
Another huge plus point is the discount you get if you previously owned RealTurb Holiday Airports or Greek Islands.
I never expected such a discount so I am very positively surprised.
As a last word to the developer: Thubs up, you're doing an excellent job! Five stars!
Very imprressed with the real turb packages and the feel of flying approaches on the leee side of mountains and the mechanical turb effects.
If your tired of AS just generating bizarre over powering turbulence and windshear warnings on days when there would be none this is a fabulous addon.
Hardware:
There are no additional system requirements to run "RealTurb Europe" other than the ones required to run Prepar3D v4.4 / v4.5 and/or the ones required to run your add-ons.
Software:
- Lockheed Martin Prepar3D v4.4 / v4.5 + or Prepar3D v5.0+ with Simconnect required
- ActiveSky for Prepar3D v4.4 / v4.5 + (optional however strongly recommended in order to get the best out of "RealTurb Europe")
