Ioannina airport (LGIO) is located 4Km from the city of Ioannina, in the NorthWest part of Greece.
With a new terminal that came to service in 2019, it serves a single runway of 2400m, at 1500ft
elevation with no precision approach available!

Next to the lake and the city, surrounded by high terrain, Ioannina airport offers a beautiful and
exciting approach, which, in combination with some adverse weather and the lack of precision
approaches, can very easily become a very demanding one!
For most real world airlines, Ioannina is a Category C airport, meaning that only the captain is
allowed to perform the take off and landing!

It's geographical position, makes it a perfect one, offering endless choices of airports to fly TO and
FROM Ioannina, satisfying every taste! From really short flights (just a few minutes from Kerkira,
Thessaloniki and Skiathos), to anywhere in Greece, Adriadic and Southern Italy within an hour and
for slightly longer hops, you name it!

Four stars based mainly on very good price to quality ratio, Structures are well done. No interiors but would not expect for the price. Main complaints would everything is "too clean", the terrain around the tower for instance should be uneven and cluttered and a lot more vegetation between aprons and public streets.

Small but nicely detailed airport, and a Location you'd love to land at and take of from, expecially with the "CAT Areas Global v2" addon from the same developer!

Very detailed scenery in a very low price,that gives the real feeling of the airport. Finally now my flights with MSFS2020, will start or end from/to LGIO!
