Fergana Airport (UTFF) is one of Uzbekistan’s oldest aviation hubs, originally established in 1938. During the Soviet era, it served as a joint-use airfield, hosting both civilian and military transport aviation. Until 1999, a military base operated on-site, after which the facility was fully converted to civilian use.
Since 2009, the airport has undergone a phased reconstruction program, including the modernization of the terminal complex and technical infrastructure. Today, it stands as a modern regional airport, playing a key role in the transportation network of the Fergana Valley — one of the most densely populated and dynamically developing regions in the country.
In Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020/2024, Fergana Airport has been recreated with high realism: detailed infrastructure, historical layout features, an updated ILS-equipped runway, and the distinctive landscape of the valley. It’s an ideal departure point for exploring southern Central Asia by air.
