Samarkand International Airport is one of Uzbekistan’s most important aviation hubs, located on the northern outskirts of the ancient city of Samarkand, just 8 km from its historic center. It is the country's second busiest airport after the capital's Islam Karimov Airport and serves as the main air gateway to a destination rich in history and culture.

In Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Samarkand Airport has been recreated with high accuracy: the modern terminal, renovated runway, taxiways, and distinctive urban features are all modeled based on real-world data.
