Description

Castellón Airport is an airport serving the city of Castellón de la Plana, located near Vilanova d'Alcolea, Benlloc and Cabanes in Spain. The airport was officially declared "open" by local authorities in March 2011, shortly before regional elections and as total cost reached €150 million despite having neither airlines signed up to land there nor government approval to operate. Delayed for several years, commercial flights were due to begin on 1 April 2012 but the first commercial flight to the airport landed on 15 September 2015.

The building is modelled nicely, but I am disappointed about very basic and characteristic things about this airport: There is no fence. Why? You can walk from the parking lot directly to the runway. This kills the immersion. Furthermore, there are many old and dismanteled planes on the apron in real life . This is modelled really bad in this scenery. A few random cockpits laying around and six (!!!) Iberia CRJ aligned perfectly fine in parallel next to another. This is not even close to reality and could have been done more accurately. Overall, I still like the airport since the building is nice, but I would greatly appreciate a small overhaul.

Thanks to you, I learn that there is such an airport in Spain. A detailed airport located in a very beautiful area. Again, you did a great job!

what a fantastic scenery you have made, it is my home airport, lot of details, i have never thought this small airport could be handcrafted in msfs2020. Big smile in my face. Thank you
