The Half Moon Bay Airport is about 20 miles south of San Francisco. It was built by the California State Highway Department for the U.S. Army in 1942 as an auxiliary airfield for Salinas Army Air Base..

Half Moon Bay Airport covers 325 acres (132 ha) at an elevation of 66 feet (20 m). Its asphalt/concrete runway, 12/30, is 5,000 by 150 feet (1,524 x 46 m).

Major, major points off for using default ground textures. Ramps, taxiways, runway have no character or realism. Airport modeling is fine, texture work isn't bad - could be a bit better, but not really worth complaining about… ( a few more texture variants on hangars, and less saturated rust textures would have been nice ) Breakwater and boats in the harbor are nice details. I’ll give the benefit of the doubt and assume the double radome at Pillar Point is due to me having the “We Love VFR” pack and there's a conflict. With a few days work on the ground textures / decals this could be a 5/5 package. Half Moon Bay is a small airport and doesn't have a lot of hangars or structures - so nailing the look and weathering of the ground materials is 75% of the value of the scenery. I hope this is constructive to the developer, and I would re-review in a second, if this package is updated.

This is a very good representation of KHAF. I have to say I'm very pleased with not just the airport proper, but the surrounding area, the Harbor, the USAF radar station, the San Mateo Sheriff's driver training area to the Mobile Home Park on the West side of the airport. Close examination of the buildings will show largely accurate and detailed signage, including for the now defunct Three-Zero Cafe. My sole criticism is that there should be more fishing boats in the harbor as it is a working harbor supporting an active fishery. Do not let that deter you as the airport and its environs are very nicely done. A great little airport from which to base your explorations of the SF Bay area and Northern California.
