The PDF-Manual that comes with the software dates back to 2014, so this program has been around for quite some time.
I could not make it work. After starting the program, the UI shows several graphic errors, e.g., the entry field for the „Takeoff Weight” is overlaid by “Boeing 737-700/CFM56-7B24” and it is impossible to enter any numbers. It is equally not possible to enter any data into the field for “Wind”, “OAT”, and “QNH”.
I tried to post this in the Support Forum, describing the problems and asking for suggestions to solve the problem. I don’t expect a single developer to be only 24/7, but after more than 24 hours, my post still shows up in red and is marked with “Pending Approval” by a moderator.
Another issue: There does not seem to be an easy and direct way to update the AIRAC cycle. In the Support Forum, a post from 2017 points to a separate “Toper Airac Generator Utility”. In 2022, when many people have Navigraph subscription, this is not acceptable anymore.

In short: This program, appears to be outdated and badly maintained!

Everyone who takes flight simulation seriously needs this tool if they are going to fly 737 NG aircraft accurately. This can calculate V-Speeds independently of the ZIBO Mod FMC and reconfirms what numbers the FMC comes up with are accurate. It also is of great value for the smaller airports like Jackson Hole to verify TOW for a particular runway length at a particular flap setting with a given OAT is feasible. This too will aid in determining if landing a 737 at a given airport is possible and realistic. Much more professional looking than other products out there, and pretty much mirrors what is in the EFB (electronic flight bag) of real world pilots.

Highly Recommended! X-Plane 11 ZIBO 737 fans, you guys/gals need this!

This neat and inexpensive tool delivers you all what's needed to fill your FMS with the necessary takeoff performance data.
The preceding reviewer criticizes missing "recommendation" for power setting and "optimum flaps". I can't see a problem there. Flaps settings are pretty much captain's discretion if not a company-given decision. 5° will therefore be realistic for the calculation in most cases. In any case it is not the responsibility of this app to make that decision. You have to decide this yourself and tell the tool which settings it has to take into account for its assumed temperature calculation.
The same with power setting. You and your (virtual) airline have an interest to go easy on those costly engines as much as possible, so you will do the first run of calculations with the maximum possible derate.
TOPER will tell you, if this derate is approved in your case, considering weather, runway conditions, the exact airport, and your flaps setting. If that derate is not sufficient, you simply run the calculation again, this time with the next lesser derate.
TOPER has all the possible derates for the entire 737NGX fleet, so you don't have to mess around any longer with the fixed and inaccurate preconditions of TOPCAT ever again.
12 Bucks well spent if you ask me!

Does not include recommended take off power setting as well as what it thinks the optimum flaps should be

Basically its not realistic, the only thing it is useful at is giving you the assumed temperature and thats it

I am very pleased to state that TOPER gives me approximately the assumed temperature I find by hand doing the airport analysis. I tried to play with the aircraft TOW in TOPER and in most part I got concordant results and limitations with what I would have found manually from FCOM charts.

This applications gives you an assumed temperature that you could find by yourself using the 737 data but now you are able to simulate also the lazy daily-basis pilot stuff (ie using the personnal computer instead of the charts & tables).

The support from Nikola is reactive. A new update (1.3) available in the support forum solves some compatibility problems the previous versions GUI had on some computers with Windows 7 - 64 bits. So the application looks safe now for everybody.

The application does not give you an estimated reduced N1 according to the Asummed temperature, so cross-control with the FMC N1 calculation is not directly possible from TOPER. Unless you use the FCOM tables manually with the assumed temperature and departure altitude in entry.

I find the fact that TOPER B737 CL and TOPER 737 NG are separated in two products makes each product a bit overpriced, as both types could be naturaly merged in only one interface ! Only the performance tables are changing indeed ! However I like the software which allow to simulate more closely the current pilot behavior during pre-flight duties.
