Stellenbosch Airport is a small airport in Stellenbosch a town in the Western Cape province of South Africa, situated about 50 kilometres (31 miles) east of Cape Town, at the foot of the Stellenbosch Mountain.

The town became known as the City of Oaks due to the substantial number of oak trees that were planted by its founder, Simon van der Stel, in 1679 to grace the streets and homesteads.

Stellenbosch is home to the Stellenbosch University and to Technopark which is a modern science park situated on the southern side of the town near the Stellenbosch Golf Course.
