Nadi International Airport (IATA: NAN, ICAO: NFFN) is the main international gateway for the Republic of Fiji as well as an important regional hub for the South Pacific islands, located by the coast on the western side of the main island Viti Levu. It is the main hub of Fiji Airways and its domestic and regional subsidiary Pacific Sun. The airport is 10 km from the city of Nadi and 20km from the city of Lautoka. In 2011 it handled 2,231,300 passengers on international and domestic flights. Despite being the main airport of the country, it is quite far away from its capital, about 192 km from Suva, a 2.5 hour drive.

Arrivals and departures are much preferred to be to the south, due to the closeness of the Sabeto mountain range to the immediate north of the airport. A large turn around area, suitable for Boeing 747s, is to the left of the threshold of Runway 02, in case meteorological factors make departure to the north necessary.

In 2008, a Qantas Airbus A380 had to make an emergency landing to disembark a sick passenger, showing that whilst not certified, the facilities at Nadi are sufficient to cater for the largest civilian aeroplane in the world.
Nadi is the operational base for Fiji Airways, which services six airports throughout the southwest Pacific, and many more on the Pacific Rim. Remnants of the largest FIS in the world remain as, for example, Nadi Tower provides an FIS service for Fua'amotu Airport in Tonga when Fua'amotu Tower is off watch.

Terminal buildings look great but the landscape looks poor.
Very dissapointing. Really doesn't look like the screen shots. Grainy with no detail. The ground textures are really bad. As another review said, Fiji is NOT gray.

The photos tell the story. Whilst the buildings are reasonably accurate the ground textures ruin it. This is Fiji - a lush green island - not a blue/grey barren landscape.

I agree with the other review, but I think the excellent customer support is worth mentioning. I reported a bug and got a swift reply that a fix was underway and two days later I got the link sent to me by e-mail. This is a product that is worth the price and I am sure they are working on fixing the bugs mentioned.

This scenery is an accurate depiction of Nadi International Airport. The airport layout is accurate to the current state of the real airport as far as I can tell. The terminal is well modeled. Textures on terminals are nice but are lacking the kind of details like dirt, shadows etc. that would give them additional appeal. The apron and runway textures are very grainy, probably produced by overuse of a noise filter. This does not look realistic and the developers should go for less grainy textures. The scenery has no noticeable impact on performance on my system while flying the PMDG777. There are also no issues with memory usage that became apparent to me. Overall I would rank the quality of this work as a mid range scenery which is reflected in the moderate price the developers are asking for it.

The scenery has the following flaws:

PAPI RWY 02 not working, always showing four white lights

Approach lights for runway 02 disappear when getting closer.

Approach lighting for runway 09 is floating in the air, no light poles are modeled

Apron and runway textures are unrealistically grainy. These overly grainy textures cause shimmering when viewed from a large distance

Unfortunately there are no moving jetways, I'm aware the developers don't advertise moving jetways but it would be a nice addition

Some textures should be provided in higher resolution, i.e. the Fiji Airways logo on the hangar.

The photo background is quite low resolution and has a strange blueish/gray tint to it. It probably has to be color corrected.

I hope that the developer will address some of the issues mentioned in an update.

If you specifically want to fly in and out of Nadi and can live with the above-mentioned flaws then go for it! If you are looking for a nice island destination and don't care about what it is then I suggest you go look somewhere else.

It's a nice nice airport. An additional airport to my existing collection of airport from Secret Studio
This add-on probably it needs an update, since floor markings (both taxiway and runway) are all white stripes without any detail and buildings aren't being rendered correctly. As for the time this review was written (sep 2022), sim's default version is actually better.
all the Reviews online are True! except for being able to see the heading indicator this is a joy to fly Ant's airplanes hit a home run (scrored a goal)!
WOW this is a fantastic airport pack lots of detail great night textures aswell and even the radars on the main tower and on the airfeld work and spin aswell very well done to the Aflosim team on a great airport pack this is a defo must have 5stars from me but its defo a 10/10 for detail and I love everything in it very happy thank you Aflosim for a great Sofia intl airport. :);)
What is a nicely modeled product becomes marred by incredibly bad performance. In order to make sure it was not my system or addons I was using, I had three other folks with this airport compare against my performance and all of us had the same results. There is no excuse for an airport of this size to have such a huge performance impact. My system can barely sustain 30 FPS on High settings with this airport installed. Why does an airport of this size and detail run at 30 fps while the giant KLAX down the road runs at 60-70 fps? There is something flawed with this airport's performance. It is clearly a bug in the airport. It needs another sweep of optimizations. Running the freeware KSNA which looks decent yielded 45+ FPS on our test systems. The-
re is also an ortho flaw with this airport in general. I believe it is on Asobo's end to fix. Coming in for final at this airport the ortho ground colors and quality will morph before your very eyes. It is extremely distracting and ugly to witness.
A beautiful, very accurately reproduced plane. The systems work as you can see in the videos on the internet. The flight model seems to be very well made, you have to be careful with the choice of airport, because a fully loaded plane actually needs more than two kilometers of runway, and landing with cargo is about three kilometers.Ther-
e is a huge difference in the behavior of an empty versus a fully loaded aircraft. Starting systems and engines is a lot of manual learning,fortun-
ately there is an option to auto-start systems and engines,especia-
lly starting the various systems of the aircraft is very satisfying. An additional advantage is the ability to switch to the cockpit mode in English (Russian by default),you can do it at any time in the pop-up Configurator (SHIFT + 1). In particular, the autopilot is very complex and works differently than in Western airplanes, but after turning on the English cockpit,it can be managed.Interes-
tingly, after a closer look at the autopilot,it turns out that it has a lot of different functions that make flying easier,e.g.the plane can make 90-degree turns by itself,or circle non-stop. The plane carries several loads on its back,I liked the Molniya mini-shuttle the most. The sound of the engines is also polished,especi-
ally the roar of the engines at high revs and when starting. The plane's volume is adjusted so that it is the first plane where I did not have to silence the game to a minimum so as not to go deaf.
After many years of owning Bear Studios older (and at times, frustrating) MiG-15 offering for FSX I came across this. At first I thought it was just an update of the old offering for P3D with FSX compatibility. It is not. It is an all new offering and it looks great in FSX. Gone are the baked in shadows of the old version with modern texturing applied. The planes are all really shiny, which is good because a a few of the textures represent civilian or museum owned MiG-15s! They are N15YY from the Combat Air Museum of Topeka, Kansas, 079 from the Museum of Flight in Seattle, Washington, NX87CN from Planes of Fame in Chino, California, NX90589 from the Oakland Aviation Museum, Oakland, California and my favorite (as it was the first MiG-15 I had ever seen in person on the ground and in the air) PLAAF 4115. The version in the sim has no N number but the former Combat Jets Flying Museum MiG-15 N15MG (now residing at EAA in Oshkosh) represents this plane. Best of all, this sim had done away with whatever would randomly cut out your hydraulic pump in the old version! Now the two items that kept it from getting the fifth star. Textures. While they look great and are reflective and shiny when appropriate, the camouflaged aircraft are also shiny (as are flap internals, landing gear and wheel wells. Planes. While it's great that all the planes in this addon come under one entry in Sim Objects (vs the myriad of offerings in the old one) there is no two seater offered this time around. I can only hope that comes later along with a similar update for their MiG-17!
I have to agree with one of the other reviewers as well that's it just OK. It certainly is pretty, but it's really slow. It's not nimble as far as handling and a big part of the realism for a plane for me is the sound, and this little baby sounds like it's got the default Cessna 172 sounds. That is a definite killer for me! I did give it 3 stars because it's a pretty model.
If you enjoyed the FSX version you are going to love this one. The plane itself is simple to fly but many mechanical features have been implemented to generate an extra challenge. Gre-
at job by Ant's Airplanes.
Very fun to fly. Very good options. Just well done.
