This is way more than just an airport. You get the whole city and surrounding neighborhoods plus 2 more smaller airfields of excellent detail. Having bought it on sale for around $7 usd I feel more than satisfied. Exceptional detail all around. Shipping docks, boats, all surrounded by great photo detail. No frame rate drops at all. This scenery is pure awesomeness! Man, how was it at all possible to squeeze so much detail in this small airport? Incredible, really, and not only content but quality wise just as much. You are looking at sheer perfection at virtually no performance cost. Beyond that, the area is simply wonderful, a feast for the eye to pan around. As you may already know, by purchasing a Paulo Ricardo scenery, not only do you get the airport but also the surroundings and SBJV is no exception. Joinville - or as it's often called, The City of Flowers - makes for a great short haul flight from either Sao Paulo or Rio de Janeiro, just to name a few. It's also an ideal general aviation hub. In real life, it's one of the safest cities in Brazil, situated in the State of Santa Catarina, about 100 km southwest from Curitiba. This is without the smallest doubt a five star release, and a wonderful addition to your South American destinations! You simply can't go wrong with any Paulo Ricardo product and it's definitely worth keeping an eye out for future projects from the developer. Brazil is slowly but steadily getting the attention it deserves thanks to - among others - Paulo Ricardo! Looking forward to airports such as Manaus, Brasilia, Belo Horizonte, Porto Alegre. Maybe one day!

I never had much reason to fly in South America. Until I finally clicked on a Paulo Ricardo scenery. Joinville is crafted very well. Not only do you get the airport, but you also get the surrounding scenery as well. It is very lush with lots of autogen, buildings as well as trees. No impact on frames! I run my autogen on "very dense" too! He also created a cool effect of flashing white lights on the top of antennae in the scenery at night. Joinville is the only scenery in his P3Dv4 collection that the 3D night lights around the city disappear upon installation. However if you email the developer, he will quickly send you a easy to use patch that restores the 3D night lights. I recommend that buyers get Joinville, Salvador, and Fortaleza. That way you have some cool airports to fly to in a reasonable time frame as Brazil is very large country. I will also say that if the developer remakes his Mega Rio De Janiero and Natal City Pack 5 for P3Dv4, I will line up to get it.

I think most people would overlook this airport, wondering where the heck Joinville is?!? I am happy to say that this is one of the BEST airport sceneries I have ever purchased! The scenery is very detailed, in both the airport and surrounding areas. A nice touch is that the nearby radio towers are designed to pulse their strobe lights, which is something I haven't seen before in any scenery (well done!) The Joinville area is great for GA flying, and feels very much like flying in a small to mid-size city in the US. What's nice though is that the airport supports 737 jets (with SODE jetways), which allows me to go to all parts of South America non-stop. This airport has the quality of a top end OrbX airport, and you could easily mistake it as one. Based on this experience, I immediately purchased the Salvador and Fortaleza airports, which are also outstanding. I would easily purchase the Mega Rio and Mega Sao Paolo airports, but only once the developer has updated those for P3Dv4. Looking forward to more from this developer!

I purchased this airport along with Salvador and Fortaleza. Installed all of them in P3D v4 and all of them works fine. More, after having questioned Mr Ricardo, he answered me quickly, giving me too a great support with some update for P3D v4. So, waiting for FTX Open LC South America, I will definately buy Paulo Ricardo's remaining airports. In my opinion, customer support is a great add-on.

Absolute Masterpiece! This scenery ticks all the boxes. Flawless modelling and texturing, including one of the best ground polys I have ever seen, and a huge photoreal coverage with autogen and custom buildings. I actually can't believe it's less than 10 Euros. One of the best sceneries I have ever bought!

Basically, I feel like I'm stealing Paulo Ricardo. Why is that? Well, you get a great product, with more than 3.2GB worth of scenery (airport and surrounding areas) for a very, very low price. And this is not an amateur developer trying to make a buck with a low quality product. Search simMarket and you'll find out what I'm saying. So buying this, with such a low price, is a no-brainer even if you don't fly that much to South America, Brazil. Just do it!
