Viracopos Campinas International Airport (IATA: VCP, ICAO: SBKP) is an international airport serving the municipality of Campinas, São Paulo State, Brazil. On 6 January 1987, the airport name was officially normalised to its present form. It is named after the neighbourhood where it is located.The IATA airport code of Viracopos is VCP and the specific city code of Campinas is CPQ. Sometimes both codes are used as one although there is a distinction between them in airline reservation systems: VCP, together with CGH (Congonhas) and GRU (Guarulhos), is part of the multiple airport system set around the city of São Paulo (code SAO). An airline that files services with the code VCP has flights displayed when passengers or travel agents request service from São Paulo, whereas flights filed withn the code CPQ are displayed as service from Campinas, not São Paulo. A similar example is New York City (NYC), in which the airport codes LGA (LaGuardia Airport), JFK (John F. Kennedy International Airport), and EWR (Newark Liberty International Airport) are used for the same city, although Newark is located in a different city and state.

This is easily one of the best airports in MSFS. I have more than 100 top payware airports, but this one really amazes me every time. Great work, greetings from Germany

hidden jewel from talented designer Paulo Ricardo. The custom ground texture is up there with the best, fantastic work a real joy. I hope Paulo keeps learning the latest techniques to keep moving into up to join the best designers. I can not await SBSP, and ultimately if he tries Guarulhos and Galeao. Highly recommend this airport

This is hands down the best airport scenery for the South America continent at the time of writing. Detailed and beautiful modelling, crisp and natural looking textures on buildings and on the ground, and the developer has taken extra care of the surroundings; Custom approach light modelling, extensive placement of vegetation and clutter all around the airport, these are just two things that many developers don't do, even on smaller airports than this. Construction areas received 3D assets, and it's a real joy to park your cargo aircraft and look into the beautifully made cargo building from the cockpit. Also the night lighting is done very well, colour and brightness is very realistic throughout. Anything that could have been done better? I would have loved to see custom animated ground vehicle traffic, something that I find just belongs to a large airport. Also, the airport fencing, while done very nicely in many places, has a lot of large gaps all around the airport. This would have spiced up the surroundings just that tiny bit more. But it's a very minor thing really, since the fence is quite a bit away from the taxiways on this airport. A truly stunning scenery, very well done. I highly recommend getting this, a must have for any collection.
