Each installment of “Bygone Era” focuses on a specific airline or aircraft, recreating their classic liveries and routes with meticulous detail.

Our inaugural series features the iconic Boeing 747 in Alitalia livery, Italy’s former flag carrier.

For decades, the name Alitalia was synonymous with Italian style, elegance, and adventure in the skies. Founded in 1946, the Italian flag carrier represented a symbol of national pride, connecting Italy to the world and carrying millions of passengers to destinations near and far.

The “tricolore” on the tail of the aircraft and the unmistakable Alitalia livery became symbols of Italian excellence in the skies. The airline was known for its high-quality service, its focus on passenger comfort, and its contribution to promoting Italian culture and tourism worldwide until its eventual closure in 2021.

These elements are part of a highly detailed system comprising more than 100 unique action types, showcasing the complexity and depth of the simulation. Whether it is reacting to weather changes, managing various flight phases, or following checklists, missions are carefully crafted to simulate the responsibilities and challenges faced by real pilots.
