Katastrophe! Wer zu spät merkt, dass dieses Modell aus dem Jahr 2006 stammt, wird bitter enttäuscht. So etwas sollte man gar nicht mehr verkaufen.

To develop and sell an aircraft model for FS2004 that already comes with the sim as standard it
has to be something special...right ? That's what I thought when I decided to buy the Perfect Flight
Baron 58.

Purchase and download went smoothly, so far so good. The model comes with a PDF "Pilot
Handbook", a very comprehensive 312 page document covering general aviation in great detail,
and a skimpy three page PDF Baron 58 User guide covering mainly the installation. There is also a
Adventure Manager program to make and modify flight adventures.

The external model itself is good, but no better than the default FS2004 Baron 58, however it does
come with 20 liveries, a nice plus point.

There is a checklist for each stage of flight which can be displayed as a window, and is also spoken, but it seems not to be tailored exactly for this aircraft as it included items in the check list which were not fitted.

The big disappointment was the interior. The 2D panel
is nothing special and in my copy it had
several flaws. Some bleed through and texture "flashing" is apparent and the compass housing is
missing. The 2D panel does not have a NAV/GPS switch, but the VC panel does. The VC panel,
and the VC cockpit in general, is nothing special and no attempt has been made to match the 2D
panel and VC panel in appearance.

Flight performance is on a par with the default Baron. The flight adventures however, seem not to
be tailored to a particular aircraft as you might expect. On my first adventure flight, Jersey to East
Midlands, ATC sent me up to cruising altitude 13,000 feet. Too high for an unpressurised aircraft
and too high for this Baron also, it ran out of steam at 11,000 feet and I had to request a lower
altitude to continue my flight.

In summary, this model is OK and it has a few nice extras, but overall a disappointment.
