Description

Do you want higher detail scenery around the Fairbanks Alaska area? This scenery add-on offers a solution. Included are three airports: PAFA, AK28, and MTF; Fairbanks International, Chena Marina, and Metro Field respectively. Featured is a custom modeled terminal building for Fairbanks International Airport, as well as a custom modeled control tower building. The airport database has been updated with (as of 2011) an accurate taxiway system, updated runway numbers, updated GPS approaches; improved parking, animated jet-ways vehicle routes and ramp-lights. In addition, all the airport areas have seasonal orthoimagery for both summer and
winter along with auto-gen trees and buildings. The float-ponds for each of the airports have been accurately modeled along with the color of the water. The float-ponds turn to snow covered ice in November.

This can be run fairly well on a 1.2 GHz (dual core) processor with the Scenery objects slider set to maximum, however the auto-gen slider must be set from minimal to zero or else the framerates will turn undesirably slow. For better performance, a higher power computer is recommended.
