SBRF / REC - Recife - Gaurarapes / Gilberto Freyre International Airport is the main Airport that serves the cities of Recife, Jaboatão dos Guararapes and other destinations in Pernambuco. Recife has about 1.5 million inhabitants, the 3rd largest city in the Brazilian northeast and 9th largest in the entire country. The airport is located at about 11 km from the city center, 2 km from the famous Boa Viagem beach, and 5 km from Piedade beach in Jaboatão. Recife is the capital of Pernambuco State, and one of the largest economies in the Brazilian Northeast, as well as one of the oldest and most famous cities in the entire country.

The airport not only consists of its passenger area, but also has general aviation operations and serves as a military air base for FAB (Brazilian Air Force) operations. On March 2019, AENA took administration from the national state company Infraero, and won a 30-year concession to operate the airport. In 2023, started implementing an ambitious rehaul of the airport, which included the demolition and repositioning of the general aviation hangars, to give space to a whole new apron and passenger terminal expansion.

This scenery was created to account for the new airport expansions and present an accurate and up-to-date rendition of the airport's current status. The airport includes all of the aprons, ATC facilites, general aviation & military hangars and aprons, as well as many other features.

I really liked the scenery, I've been wanting a scenery like this for Recife for a long time. But I have a few things to say that I didn't like, like the lighting of the buildings and skyscrapers at night and the lighting inside the terminal where only one photo is repeated. Otherwise it's incredible, thank you very much for the scenery, you did a sensational job :D I also want to report the jetways, they are well outside the planes' mapping.
