Gibraltar Airport (LXGB), is an international airport opened in 1939, it is the main airport in Gibraltar, In 2017, the airport handled 571,184 passengers and 302,094 kg of cargo on 4,888 total flights. Winston Churchill Avenue (the main road heading towards the land border with Spain) intersects the airport runway, and consequently has to be closed every time a plane lands or departs.

RDPresets have created a very highly detail version of Gibraltar International Airport and the surrounding area with all of the latest technologies when it comes to 3D modelling and scenery development. We have focused on great performance together with very high detail including an interior and custom ground and building modeling covering the whole airport including landside. Including a working car crossing which automatically closes and opens based on aircraft activity. Please use the scenery configurator in the main airport scenery folder to configure the car/airport crossing to work with your aircraft of choice!

Vorsicht! Keine Kompatibilität mit dem MS Update Nr.17 - UK Update - vom Juli 2024. Dies gilt für MSFS 2024 wie auch MSFS2020. 3D-Bildmessung fehlt in wichtigen Teilen!

not happy trying to get in tch with RDpresets says correct highlighted field it is correct and nothing but i cant get the traffic to stop beacon and strobe on when go in for approach as they sld be as switched when departed and set in config and still traffic crossing runway

This scenery is amazing really. What is truly fantastic is that while this airport is surrounded by clutter, it is ALL 3D, you won't see anything flat on the ground texture like with so many other developers, so this is extremely well done and makes for perfect immersion. There are however a few items that should be looked at for an update: - PLEASE switch off the flood lighting inside the ATC tower during darkness, this looks extremely silly and unrealistic. How are the poor guys supposed to do ATC in there?! - The terminal interior, while very well done, shows some texture flickering in a select few spots during night time. - All yellow ground markings look a bit off, too much orange shade instead of ICAO-like yellow. Also one can see various shades of orange/yellow instead of a uniform yellow like ICAO standards suggest. And the big fat RUNWAY AHEAD marking needs some work: Looks odd for the letters to be outlined in red when photos clearly show that this is supposed to be a (tight) red box beneath the lettres. - I'd wish for the glass effect to be a bit more visible during daytime. Almost looks as if there's no glass installed on the tower and the terminal. - And last but not least, there's a guy marshalling a parked(!) Jaguar only to be reset after a few seconds and loop forever. Looks pretty silly and should simply get deleted. In any case, this scenery comes highly recommended for it's fantastic immersion and careful modelling. With an update this can easily be five stars.

Best scenery of 2023 so far, airport feels alive due to the huge area around the airport being included and the immense amount of props everywhere. Strobe light on/off is used for the cars crossing the round which works well and the PBR textures on the airside look awesome compared to a default ground poly! 10/10 from me would highly recommend. PS. not to mention the cool approach you get to fly into the airport which is awesome.
