This isn't your same old, flat, lifeless, photo-realistic scenery enhancement.......This is the ultimate realism package for the city of Atlanta and a massive surrounding area. What makes this different? We have used high resolution recent (2013) satellite images to provide the base textures. On top of the textures we have placed hundreds of thousands of buildings and trees, correct to size and type. This provides a completely redefined flying experience, providing realistic scenery at any altitude. The heart of this package is the replicated 3D city of Atlanta. Hundreds of custom designed replicated buildings placed in their exact location, providing a complete replica of the city. No more flat satellite textures, no more "generic" city center. This is the real thing!
Atlanta, Georgia is the most populous city in the state of Georgia. This city has a rich culture, booming economy, and is home to one of the largest airports in the world, Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Hartsfield-Jackson Airport sees approximately 250,000 passengers per day, totaling close to 100 million per year. The city of Atlanta is a very popular tourist destination, thanks to the close proximity of the Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. The city has many tourists hot spots such as the Georgia Dome, Turner Field, the Georgia Aquarium, and the Coca-Cola Museum, as well as many skyscrapers and landmarks. Many smaller general aviation airports are located all throughout the Atlanta-Metro area, providing a wide range flight possibilities. To the north of the city are two large lakes, Lake Allatoona and Lake Lanier, just at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. The expansive coverage in this scenery package provides endless opportunities for VFR flying. Whether navigating the skyscrapers in a helicopter, following the interstates to metro area towns, navigating the mountains to the north, or shooting visual approaches at any of the Atlanta area airports, this scenery package is sure to impress. Because the high resolution satellite images already make this package nearing 4.8 GB, this is only a daytime/summer package. Most VFR packages are typically flown in daytime and summer anyways. Adding night textures and seasonal variations would significantly increase the scenery complexity and download size.
