Die englischsprachigen Rezensionen sind sehr aussagekräftig; ich möcht noch ein paar Aspekte in deutscher Sprache hinzufügen. - Die manuelle Installation ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber letztlich gut machbar mit etwas Wissen um das Handling zusätzlicher Szenerien. Nach dem Download mehrerer Files entpackt man sie, integriert sie in das P3D4-Hauptverzeichnis und installiert dann über den Szenery-Button von P3D manuell (Readme-File). Es gibt also keinen automatischen Installer. - Die Szenerie erfaßt geschätzte 20% der Hauptinsel Kodiak in deren Nordost-Ecke. Weitere Inseln des Kodiak-Archipels sind nicht enthalten - das wäre bei der Größe des Archipels denn auch etwas viel verlangt. - Die Stadt Kodiak ist ebenso wenig integriert wie deren Kleinflughafen PAKD. - Die Farben sind teilweise etwas überzeichnet, was aber (für mich) kein wirkliches Manko darstellt. - Die Szenerie ist etwas für den Liebhaber von Flügen abseits der Hauptrouten. Man kann in die vielen Fjorde hineinfliegen oder einfach über die Bergwelt dahinschweben, oder den Küsten folgen - je nach eigenem Geschmack. Das Tool ist besonders als Special Offer sein Geld wert. - Diese Kodiak-Szenerie stellt eine willkommene Ergänzung zu den Flughäfen Anchorage und Fairbanks dar; man hat damit diverse Ziele im amerikanischen Bundesstaat Alaska. - Ergänzend sollte ich schreiben, dass ich persönlich Kodiak nicht kenne; meine vorstehenden Beschreibungen geben also keinen Bezug zur Realität, sondern nur meinen persönlichen Eindruck wieder, der aber recht positiv geprägt ist.

This is a complex airport serving commercial and GA on the east side, and the USCG on the south. There are high mountains all around, especially the 3000ft Elbow Mountain at the end of Rwy 25. Personally, I am not a fan of photorealistic scenery. It certainly adds a lot of detail. Overall, the summer colours are a bit garish for my taste.. Some of the GA parking marks overlap the edge of the apron. I use ORBX and Pilots FSGlobal Ultimate which may explain this. There is just one Gate and this is coded Heavy although there are regular Alaska Airline flights with B737 or A320 types. Anyone interested in AI schedules will have to add parking spots for these and other turboprop aircraft.

I like the immediate airport area very well done. BUT, for me the surrounding photo scenery is a drawback. I do thing the developer paid attention to the photo scenery, but, there are very strong colors and hard cut offs between underlying scenery and photo areas. You might not see them flying in from PANC or other points north and east. But, if you come in from the east / north east bush flying or overfly at altitude your bound to see it. The winter is not too bad really, but, summer colors are very bright and bold and merge lines extremely distinct. If I could limit the photo area to the immediate airport grounds it would be a 5. The airport has a road running all the way around it and it would have made a perfect boundary. But, you can not remove the photo bgls and still have a viable airport.

Excellent rendition of the airport and surrounding area. A perfect starter location for Alaskan adventures, virtual coast guard missions, and a fun destination for your 737 and A320's.
