This airport is located near the city of Locarno in the Ticino, Switzerland.

It's a mixed Civilan and military plateform.

Since 1942, the Swiss Air Force use it for basic flight training of military pilots.

One paved runway and two grass runway for VFR flight travel to and from the Alps.

Locarno is aslo known for intense activities: Helicotpers, gliders, Aerolocarno civil school and skydive.

I'll make this one short: The airport add-on overall is quite decent really, not as good as MSFS would allow in terms of texturing quality and modelling detail, but it's OK considering this was released early in the life of MSFS. However, the developer has been made aware of critical bugs almost a year ago: There are duplicate/overlapping and oversized holding point markings for runway 26R, as well as partial duplicate windsocks. A fix for both was promised but never delivered. With these errors I cannot recommend buying this airfield.

It is a wonderful scenery and it is one of my favourite airports for some mountain flying.

OK, the main runway now has the correct designators 08L - 26R. Nice scenery, by the way.

Runway numbers of the main runway are wrong; Should be 08L - 26R not 08L - 26L! A somewhat fundamental mustake. Redwing has promised remedy, so wait for the next update.

Der kleine Flugplatz ist sehr ordentlich und liebevoll umgesetzt. Das es nur Charts aus den 1960er Jahren gibt (soweit ich das ermitteln konnte) und der Flugplatz keine Landebahn oder Taxi-Beleuchtung hat, dafür kann der Entwickler nix. Der Abstecher nach Locarno hat mir Spass gebracht und der Flughafen fühlte sich echt an.

très belle réalisation très détaillé Bravo!!!! très bien optimisé apporte un vrai + pour cette région de la Suisse manque que Lugano ;)
