TAXI2GATE - PARIS CHARLES DE GAULLE LFPG FSX P3DV3

TAXI2GATE - PARIS CHARLES DE GAULLE LFPG FSX P3DV3

Wonderful work by Taxi2Gate which in my opinion is one of the leading developers. The airport is very detailed, night textures could be improved a bit but it's an amazing airport. The most important thing... VAS is very very good. You won't OOM unless you have extremely high settings. FPS is very good. Considering the size of this airport, it's detail and it's VAS performance some other developers should really take a close look and learn something from Taxi2Gate. 5 stars all the way!

HIFI TECH - ACTIVE SKY 2016 FSX

First of all let me say I have a lot of respect for HiFi and what they have done with Active Sky. It is in my opinion one of the best addons ever created. BUT... 33 Euro for this upgrade? This could have easily been a free patch. For all the hype I was expecting to be blown away. It's honestly the same as ASN. Only difference is that misty smoke effect when flying through clouds and even that is not evenly distributed in most clouds. I don't get this effect in wing view as well which is disappointing. New fancy interface with the same options, apart from a weather radar and different map displays which is really not worth the price. So to sum up: a fancy new interface and some misty fog in clouds. That's it. FPS has improved for me so I guess it was not a total waste of money. Not worth the price for upgrade as it is essentially the same as ASN when flying, I was just impressed by all the technical mumbo jumbo from HiFi and bought into the hype. Disappointing.

Seriously, one of the best sceneries I have ever come across for FSX. The only developer you can compare this to is Flightbeam. I would even say this is better quality than Taxi2Gate. Compared to this Aerosoft airports look like FS2000. Frames, fantastic. VAS usage, fantastic. Textures are so real it is amazing. The pictures don't do this airport justice. How many times have you bought an airport and felt cheated by the pictures? Not this one, I promise you. No fancy pics, no fancy marketing, just quality! Only issue is no AES support which is very strange because they cover airports that are so ugly you would wish you were blind.

Pacific Island Simulations is one of the big upcoming developers in our beloved sim. The quality they produce in combination with low VAS and excellent framerates is amazing. I get 25fps at Taipei with 100% AI, GSX, AES, ASN, LOD at 5.5, PMDG 777, ORBX Vector + Global + Open LC. Now if that does not impress, I honestly don't know what will. AEROSOFT??? ARE YOU LISTENING? I OOM at low settings in Thessaloniki! Buy Taipei and support this developer because they really deserve it.

QUALITYWINGS SIMULATIONS - THE ULTIMATE 757 COLLECTION SP3

QUALITYWINGS SIMULATIONS - THE ULTIMATE 757 COLLECTION SP3

I don't understand what the fuss is about the simplified cockpit. By the way it's not that simple as some people (guy below me) make you think. This has nothing to do with any default aircraft. The textures, inside and outside, are PMDG quality and better than AirbusX in my opinion. Yes you can't click the FMC buttons if you don't pull it up with a click but the information that you view is present on the FMC screen when you close the window. Some buttons are not working, but to be honest I don't enjoy clicking for 10 minutes to set up my PMDG every time I want to fly it. And I sure don't enjoy clicking 20 times to turn the landing and runway turnoff lights on while taxing and communicating with ATC when I fly the PMDG. In this aircraft it's one click for all three switches for the landing lights. SO? Is that a big problem? I don't think so. If you want to fuss about systems go fly for real or go in a real sim. FMC works good, there are plenty of selections for the ND, and yes the zoom works and yes everything but the weather radar works. Quality Wings is a good developer in my opinion, and for this price it's a deal. I never liked Captain Sim so I can't comment. If you like eye candy and don't mind not clicking 20 times to turn something on it's a good buy. Comparing this to a default aircraft is ridiculous. The only issue I have is that when the APU is running and you go to an external view it's so quiet you can hear a pin drop.

What this developer did for FSX is nothing short of amazing. I won't write a long review as there is a demo available but I have to say that this is one addon that made my jaw drop. Get the demo and I am sure you will appreciate the work of these talented people.
