REALWORLD SCENERY - ISRAEL 3D 2017 FSX P3D
This is the first FSX/P3D scenery for the entire country of Israel and I'm quite happy with it. I use it on my P3D: a GTX 1080 laptop with an Oculus Rift CV1. My FPS is 20-40fps except in Tel Aviv area where it drops to _10fps and P3D quickly gets an OOM (Out of Memory) The reason is the amount of (autogen) buildings shown in Tel Aviv, which is tremendous. Also I had to follow the advised settings in the accompanying README file strictly to the letter otherwise my Rift showed a blue screen on one eye. I created in P3D one saved graphics config file for Israel with everything (else than the adviced settings) almost maxed out and one for Tel Aviv with reduced buildings autogen. It is an absolute blast to fly the F22 Raptor over the Holy land with the Rift at Mach 2 or do a leisurely sightseeing tour with a GA plane. The mesh is quite good which gives a fantastic 3D effect with the Rift. The photo real scenery that covers all of the country is not as crisp as e.g. with Orbx scenery and the airports didn't get any attention from the makers. The night lighting is too white and too yellow. All in all it Israel 3D 2017 has it's limitations but is still very enjoyable.
