DIGITAL DESIGN - LIVERPOOL P3D4

DIGITAL DESIGN - LIVERPOOL P3D4

This review is only an initial, very basic, first impression, and will be updated or replaced with a thorough one later. I was not too happy with Gary's Liverpool airport to be honest, and wished that someone else would make a better, modern one. When I saw Digital Design's announcements and trailers for the airport, I decided to place a bet on it and buy it. Suffice it to say I didn't expect such a high quality and accurate airport (and surrounding scenery, landmarks etc) for such a low price. Graphics wise it's extremely impressive, and much to my surprise, had little to no impact on frame rate. As a matter of fact, after uninstalling Gary's EGGP and replacing it with Digital Design's, I am getting a solid 50-60 fps about 95 percent of the time in my test aircraft (the default mooney bravo retro) with nearly all graphics sliders set to their highest. With Gary's EGGP installed, my fps was poor and used to hover around 30-50 for some unknown reason (most probably it's not optimized properly for p3d? who knows). The objects, the Hilton Hotel, car park, cars, animated cars, control tower, animated radar, approach, ILS and runway lights all have a very modern and high-definition feel to them. Gary's EGGP ruined my runway and placed large, ugly and improperly shaped lights on it. Digital Design's fixed all that. I tested the airport during night time but for a very short period of time and it looked splendid. These devs really know what they are doing. I'll have to do more test at night later on. I think I'll make a video review of it even. Long story short, my initial impression is 9.5 out of 10. I failed to find any visual anomalies, glitches, elevation issues or improperly placed textures. I'll do a more thorough review later. In the meantime, I can proudly, confidently and definitely say that if you are a flight simmer and have even a passing interest and respect for Liverpool, John Lennon, the Beatles and EGGP, then Digital Design's Liverpool airport is a must-buy. Let there be no doubt about it.

Why Piracy Hurts Everyone

Piracy undermines the dedication and creativity of developers. When you download or distribute pirated add-ons, it impacts the creators' ability to continue producing high-quality content. This affects the entire community by reducing the availability of new features and updates.

Consequences of Piracy

  • Legal Risks: Engaging in piracy can lead to severe legal consequences, including fines and prosecution.
  • Security Threats: Pirated software often carries malware, risking your personal data and system security.
  • Lack of Support: Unauthorized copies do not receive official support or updates, leading to potential issues and vulnerabilities.

How You Can Help

  1. Purchase Legitimately: Always buy add-ons from authorized sellers like SimMarket to ensure you receive authentic products.
  2. Report Piracy: If you encounter pirated add-ons, report them to the authorities or the original creators.
  3. Educate Others: Spread awareness about the negative impacts of piracy and encourage others to support developers by purchasing legitimate copies.
