This is a fantastic soundpack. It sounds so realistic (especially that howl which I just love) and it's very reasonably priced. Installation was super easy as well. However when I actually did my first flight with my RR 777 and started the engines, I noticed that it still used the GE90 startup sounds even if the rest of the engine sounds are all Trent. I contacted TSS and was helped out very quickly by Christoffer. It turns out that PMDG somehow bypasses the startup and shutdown sounds, so in order to hear the Trent 800 startup sounds, you have to replace the files manually in (FSX or P3D main directory)\PMDG\777X\Various. Unfortunately there's no way to have both startup sounds present, which means upon replacement, all 777 variants will use the Trent 800 startup sounds. Christoffer told me to backup the Various folder (by making a copy and renaming the original to Various.GE) and then replacing the sounds in the new copy. That way, I can easily switch back to GE90 startup sounds by changing Various (which contains the Trent 800 startup) to Various.Trent800 and then Various.GE back to Various. I don't think I can post the link to the replacement sound files here but I will ask Christoffer if he can put these instructions and a link to the files in the download. Once I replaced these files, the sound is pretty much perfect. Thanks Christoffer for all the help, and TSS for this awesome soundpack!
