SAMSCENE - SINGAPORE CITY WOW V2 FOR FSX P3D4 P3D5

SAMSCENE - SINGAPORE CITY WOW V2 FOR FSX P3D4 P3D5

Although i've already written rave reviews about SamScene for their Seoul scenery, i'm repeating this for the Singapore scenery as well. Just brilliant scenery, and the developer is actively updating all their sceneries, and ensuring Prepar3D v5 compatibility, which is outstanding! I easily consider Samscene up at the top with the very best developers in the Flightsim community.

SAMSCENE - SEOUL CITY WOW FOR FSX P3D4 P3D5

Truly outstanding effort! Considering there's no other serious efforts to create Korean scenery, it would've been easy to just come up with a basic effort which I would've still purchased; but this scenery far exceeds my best expectations! Along with SamScene's existing Singapore and Tokyo sceneries, i've been able to fully enjoy, and expand, my flight sim universe to include flights between Asian locations. Huge props to the developer for not only creating these locations, but doing it incredibly well!

I've been holding off on this purely because of static jetways. But! RDPresets created a profile that works perfectly if you use GSX Level 2. Just search for "RDPresets GSX Level 2", and you can download it from their site. Don't forget to remove the static jetway BGL though. The airport is 4.5 stars, but with the GSX Level 2 addition, it's full 5 stars!

MAGMEXICO - MONTERREY AIRPORT INTERNATIONAL FSX P3D

MAGMEXICO - MONTERREY AIRPORT INTERNATIONAL FSX P3D

Beautiful and highly detailed version of Monterrey Airport. I particularly love this location, as the nearby mountains provide quite a dramatic background. The developer has also provided an update on their website that supports GSX level 2 SODE Jetways. The jetways are transparent so you can see the boarding of the crew and passengers. Kudos to the developers for providing updates, as this shows how much they care about supporting their customers. Admittedly I was a bit hesitant to purchase this as there wasn't much info provided in the description, but I have been very pleasantly surprised how high quality and functional this airport is. I haven't bought any of MagMexico's products before, but if they keep this level of quality and support, it's a guaranteed buy for me. Highly recommended!

Prealsoft should just focus on making airports, instead of sceneries, as Casablanca, as well as Algiers are excellent renditions of each! They have stepped it up a bit with Casablanca though by adding SODE jetways, as well as covering more scenery around the airport. If Prealsoft is reading, please consider Cairo International for your next effort. That location is sorely needed!

FEELTHERE - EMBRAER E-JETS V2 - EMBRAER 175 AND 195 P3D4

FEELTHERE - EMBRAER E-JETS V2 - EMBRAER 175 AND 195 P3D4

To be honest, I hesitated getting this purely on the basis of the somewhat lacking internal cockpit graphics. In truth, they're not that bad, and overall this is an excellent aircraft to add to your collection. The best part are the study level FMS components, which for me, is more important than visual quality. It does take a while to fully comprehend the FMS, but once you do, it's an outstanding simulation! You can do everything from complete SID, STARS and Approach planning, as well as an excellent autopilot which does provide both LNAV and VNAV capabilities (make sure you define the climb, cruise and descent characteristics). It does have some load and fuel management options, but these are mostly for reference, rather than actually affecting flight performance characteristics. Not every knob or switch is usable, but most of the significant one's are available. Also, be sure to read the documentation, as there are some hidden clock spots on the autopilot panel, which are critical to getting the FMS working with the autopilot correctly. One important note. The external Taxi and Landing Lights have an issue with P3Dv4 Dynamic Lighting. With Dynamic LIghting enabled, turning on these lights seems to cause the entire cockpit to glow bright white (strange!). If you turn off Dynamic Lighting, all works well. There probably won't be a fix for this though, so just be aware. The installation only comes with a single default Embraer livery, but you can find a few top notch liveries at AvSim. Just search for FeelThere 175 and 195, and only pick the one's that are FSX compatible. I have perfect renditions of United Express, Delta Connection, American Eagle, JetBlue, Lufthansa, KLM, and Alitalia liveries, and they look fantastic from the external views. You can also use the FS9/2004 liveries, but they seem to have lighting reflection issues, which make the aircraft look like it has a greyish shadow over it (sort of like a permanent cloudy overcast look). All that being said, this is a very fun aircraft to fly, and is a definite buy, especially at this price point. If only the internal graphics would be updated, this would be 5 stars, and should be ranked up there with the likes of Aerosoft aircraft (maybe not quite PMDG, but fairly close).

PREALSOFT - HD CITIES - BARCELONA FSX P3D

I will say right off the bat that if you have LatinVFR Barcelona, you won't need this. LatinVFR scenery looks nearly identical to what's provided here. Saying that, this Prealsoft scenery is very good, and provides a highly detailed cityscape. I'm not sure what Aerosoft Mega Airport Barcelona covers, but as mentioned, if you don't have an LEBL scenery that covers the surrounding area, this would be an excellent addition.

PAULO RICARDO - FORTALEZA 2014 P3D4

PAULO RICARDO - FORTALEZA 2014 P3D4

This review is coming right after I just reviewed the excellent Joinville scenery. Fortaleza is another great scenery from this developer, which offers a great location at the northern part of Brazil. This makes this location quite accessible for flights to major cities in the US and Europe. The surrounding scenery is amazing, with what seems like hundreds of buildings, which give a great sense of an urban city, yet performance seems to be quite good as my frames only take minor hits in fps. The only minor thing is that the runway markings seem a bit blurry up close, but once you rise above a few feet, it becomes much better looking. Also, the runway and apron ground textures could also be somewhat sharper. If I may, i'd love it if the developer could improve this, as this would then make the airport 5+ stars, and amongst the best of the best. Once again, another outstanding effort from this developer!

PAULO RICARDO - JOINVILLE 2017 SBJV FSX P3D

I think most people would overlook this airport, wondering where the heck Joinville is?!? I am happy to say that this is one of the BEST airport sceneries I have ever purchased! The scenery is very detailed, in both the airport and surrounding areas. A nice touch is that the nearby radio towers are designed to pulse their strobe lights, which is something I haven't seen before in any scenery (well done!) The Joinville area is great for GA flying, and feels very much like flying in a small to mid-size city in the US. What's nice though is that the airport supports 737 jets (with SODE jetways), which allows me to go to all parts of South America non-stop. This airport has the quality of a top end OrbX airport, and you could easily mistake it as one. Based on this experience, I immediately purchased the Salvador and Fortaleza airports, which are also outstanding. I would easily purchase the Mega Rio and Mega Sao Paolo airports, but only once the developer has updated those for P3Dv4. Looking forward to more from this developer!

Consequences of Piracy

  • Legal Risks: Engaging in piracy can lead to severe legal consequences, including fines and prosecution.
  • Security Threats: Pirated software often carries malware, risking your personal data and system security.
  • Lack of Support: Unauthorized copies do not receive official support or updates, leading to potential issues and vulnerabilities.

How You Can Help

  1. Purchase Legitimately: Always buy add-ons from authorized sellers like SimMarket to ensure you receive authentic products.
  2. Report Piracy: If you encounter pirated add-ons, report them to the authorities or the original creators.
  3. Educate Others: Spread awareness about the negative impacts of piracy and encourage others to support developers by purchasing legitimate copies.
