MFSG - AOMORI AIRPORT RJSA FS2004 FSX P3D3-5

MFSG - AOMORI AIRPORT RJSA FS2004 FSX P3D3-5

Unfortunately the MSFS2020 version of this airport is extremely rough. It shows that it's a conversion of extremely old models and texture and 3D modeling aren't even close to today's standard. it is a pity, but I cannot recommend this airport at the moment unless it's radically improved. The quality offered is largely inferior to many freeware Japanese airports.

DOMINICDESIGNTEAM - RJBB-KANSAI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT MSFS

While still not exactly "good" for the price, this is a marked improvement from past airports from this developer, like Chubu Centrair (which is unfortunately really bad and worse than the freeware available). A few points that definitely need improvement: 1: pretty much all the parking spots are set as too small and won't fit anything bigger than an A321. RJBB is a major international airport designed to take 747-size aircraft or more. This will interfere majorly with the AI add-ons that are coming, causing bigger aircraft not to spawn or to disappear on landing. You need to manually set all cargo aprons and gates so that they're large enough to fit the correct aircraft and even add a bit because the simulator counts the space taken by ground service vehicles. 2: Many smaller buildings are missing, albeit it's not as bad as Chubu. Without more detail, I'd classify this as some sort of "RJBB Lite" but not something that can stand the comparison with airports made by some of the more reputable developers. 3: I appreciate the effort to terraform and lift the airport's artificial islands from the water (which wasn't done for RJGG), but you really need to make the coverage of the 3D models used for the breakwaters more uniform across the board, so they hide the morphed effect on the texture. 4: The ortho needs to be cleaned. Slapping 3D car models over the cars painted on the ground isn't sufficient. You actually should manually delete the cars painted on the ground and then put the 3D models on top of the cleaned textures. 5: one of the textures on the air conditioner ducts on the top of the buildings is all black. Again, I appreciate the improvement over my past purchase, and I think this developer could improve further with effort and attention to detail, and perhaps trying less to rush as many major airports as possible out of the door as they're unfortunately doing, sacrificing quality. An airport like RJBB should be the work of months, not weeks or days. That being said, I definitely hope that RJGG and other past airports will be updated to this level or better.

DOMINICDESIGNTEAM - RJGG-CHUBU CENTRAIR INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT MSFS

DOMINICDESIGNTEAM - RJGG-CHUBU CENTRAIR INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT MSFS

I decided to give this a try, but unfortunately, the rendition of Chubu Centrair is disappointing. There are several aspects that would need much more work before I could recommend a purchase to anyone: 1: No terraforming has been done at all and everything has been left at sea level, with the concrete blocks of the breakwater just randomly slapped on the edge. This is unacceptable for an airport on reclaimed land. The whole artificial island needs to be correctly elevated above sea level. Other developers (for instance the recent Amami) managed to do it, so it's perfectly doable. 2: Many buildings all over the island are missing, on top of the VOR antenna and many more details. You see them "painted" on the ground and that's simply unsightly. On top of that, there are alignment mistakes in the railway bridge that the developer did not even bother to extend as far as the coast. It looks really bad. 3: Chubu Centrair is a major cargo airport, but no parking stand was marked as cargo. All the stands from 101 to 119 should be marked as cargo, not gates. They're absolutely not used by passenger airliners. 4: the metallic structure supporting the approach landing system on both threshold is just floating on top of nothing because the developer did not bother to give it pillars. It doesn't even look like the real one, and the lights are not even lined up with it (they're erroneously under it). It even has a LOT problem so it appears suddenly only when you're very close. The blocks of the breakwater have the same LOD problem. These are all critical flaws for an airport of this importance, especially considering that the price is NOT cheap at all. The asking price for this airport is comparable to top-notch creations of the same scale, and the quality simply is not. It is my impression that the developer aims to create big airports likely because they would be more popular, but lacks the resources to do them justice. It would perhaps be advisable to do much smaller airports, but better. At the moment, the only redeeming features of this airport are the custom jetways and the relatively decent main terminal. If the creators manages to address all the points mentioned above, I will amend this review, but for now, I would suggest avoiding this and waiting for a more seasoned developer with more resources to do this important airport justice.

MFSG - SAGA AIRPORT RJFS 2021 FSX P3D3-5 FS2004

MFSG - SAGA AIRPORT RJFS 2021 FSX P3D3-5 FS2004

It's not a bad airport, but the MSFS version is obviously an upgrade from FS2004 that was then upgraded to FSX, and then to P3D. The developer made an effort to add a few bells and whistles like PBR, but it doesn't hold up very well to MSFS standards. I hope it gets updated with better weathering, possibly a modeled interior at least for the jetways (which at least are custom, so there's that), better landside area and surrounding, and by the love of god, please improve that NAMC YS-11 model, because it really doesn't do justice to such a historical aircraft. While at the moment it's not worth the asking price, IMHO, I think with a bit more work it could be.

For a first attempt at MSFS scenery, I think this is pretty good. I would advise the authors to work on adding PBR with an update, and to improve the resolution of the front sign. Also the model of the approach lights is very good, but they need to be made operational, instead of just overlapping with the default ones.
