FIT - MSFS BRIDGE - CONNECTOR FOR FOREFLIGHT AND SKYDEMON

FIT - MSFS BRIDGE - CONNECTOR FOR FOREFLIGHT AND SKYDEMON

A nice little utility that sadly is lacking ATTITUDE data being sent to Foreflight. The seller has stated that 'probably' this important item (pitch and roll data needed by Foreflight's Synthetic Vision) will be added to a 'future update', but no timeline on that and no definitive promise that it would be forthcoming. If only this one item were to be added, I would upgrade my review to 5 stars!

FIT - MSFS BRIDGE - CONNECTOR FOR FOREFLIGHT AND SKYDEMON

Great utility - needs to add support for AHRS pitch-and-roll data so that Foreflight synthetic vision will display the ATTITUDE of the plane relative to the horizon (this is different from ALTITUDE). I have notified the developer but have not heard back from him yet. Once this issue is resolved, I would give this a 5-star rating! The competitor product DOES provide AHRS information to Foreflight, so I know it CAN happen, it's simply a matter of reaching out to ASOBO to get the needed datapoints then adding them to the MSFS Bridge application.

Almost perfect with 1 datapoint missing. Compared to its competitors, this program seems to operate better, smoother and faster and thus it is almost a 5-star product! The only one thing I missed was that in Foreflight this product appears to not be sending "attitude" (not ALTITUDE) to foreflight. You wouldn't know it if you aren't subscribed to Foreflight's top tier product, which requires aircraft attitude to properly display synthetic vision's 3-D moving terrain. I surmise it should be a simple and quick fix for the developer, I have advised them this important datapoint is needed and currently not present. That said once that happens, this will be a 5-star offer and worth every penny of its modest price. I especially love you can start this product BEFORE you start MSFS. Remember to start this from inside its unzipped folder, it needs some other files plus simconnect.dll (all of which reside in its unzipped folder). I initially tried putting a shortcut to the main program in my taskbar and kept getting error messages that it could not find simconnect.dll. I almost installed the MSFS SDK (software developer kit) trying to solve the simconnect error when I read on the web that other programs (FSUIPC) should be started in a folder that contains the correct version of simconnect.dll.

LATINVFR - ORANGE COUNTY JOHN WAYNE KSNA FS2004 FSX P3D

LATINVFR - ORANGE COUNTY JOHN WAYNE KSNA FS2004 FSX P3D

KSNA - John Wayne Airport, Anaheim, CA recently updated for P3D version 3.x is another great job by LATINVFR! I love their work, particularly this airport, which I fly out of a great deal. The terminals have a distinctive curved roof design, and you can even see reflections in the terminal windows! A terrific job and at a very reasonable price point! Small 'quirks' I'm sure they will resolve soon, the taxiway signs on taxiway A (the east side where the big birds are) extend too far into the actual taxiway and should be moved more towards the grass in the center and out of the way of taxiing aircraft. Also, as you approach the airport, the buildings off the airport grounds but just beside it are 'flattened' in other words they don't stand up as they should, they appear to be 'orthographic' which is a buzz killer when you are on short final. I noticed this problem flying Prepar3D version 3.1 with ORBX Global, Vector, and Southern California all installed updated and active. If I untick the LatinVFR airport in P3D scenery library, then the flattened buildings issue goes away. So hoping LatinVFR will take note and release a fix for this small but important 'wish' item :D Still and all, I love the airport and would not fly P3Dv3 without it!
