SPINOZA - EDRJ SAARLOUIS DÜREN MSFS

Very nice little atmospheric airfield in Germany near the border to France. All in all it's done pretty well. OK, you don't have stuff like custom sounds, interiors of buildings, and some objects are generic from libraries. But actually, I really don't need that at all, even as a local, who knows the airfield pretty well. And we shouldn't forget, that for places like this, there isn't a customer base like for Heathrow or LAX. Support is awsome, BTW. I had a few suggestions for improvements, and they were implemented faster than I could reply to the mail. 4 stars for the airfield + 1 for support. Thank you Spinoza for doing this place.

AEROSOFT - AIRPORT FRIEDRICHSHAFEN MSFS

AEROSOFT - AIRPORT FRIEDRICHSHAFEN MSFS

Flying to this airport in MSFS is a far better experience than it was in P3d. However, I've got the impression that this is more because of Microsoft's work than because of Aerosoft's. For example, the ground textures on the apron are nothing special, but anyhow the effects in MSFS make this fact less conspicuous. Also, the modelling of the buildings are OK, but very "2D", and textures really look very FSXish, if not even the same. While Aerosoft praises MSFS for its incredible performance, even at very detailed sceneries, they could have done more to the buildings than this. On the other hand, it blends well into the awsome looking Lake Constance area, it's not too expensive, it performs well and there are no bugs visible so far. So all in all, it's a nice place to fly to for GA and airliners, but nothing spectacular in terms of new scenery design. I've been in this area for holidays recently, but I can't judge the exact accuracy, because I haven't been at the airport itself. BTW, the Zeppelin, that you can see flying sightseeing tours all day in summer, is only static unfortunately.

PILOT'S FSG - LEAL - ALICANTE AIRPORT P3D

Pretty expensive, but perfect!! The scenery looks very sharp, not at last because of the very detailed scenery around the airport. OK, it doesn't blend very well into ORBX Word/OLC EU, but I've got the impression that ORBX is "too green" this time, and Pilot's FSG got the colors right here. Maybe, if it was a little bit cheaper, more people would buy it and it would get the attention that it deserves for its high quality. For me, at least, it's one of the best sceneries that I've seen in recent times!

AUSCENE 2 - ADELAIDE INTERNATIONAL X FSX P3D

AUSCENE 2 - ADELAIDE INTERNATIONAL X FSX P3D

From the distance it looks good, as it blends well into ORBX AU, and the ground colors are OK. There's nothing "wrong" with the scenery such as bugs... but it's simply not really good. Textures look pretty artificial, there are no SODE gates, not even standard moving gates, and the jetways themselves really look very very outdated. And so do terminals. What's more: The AFCAD needed some editing, so that the airliners really appeared at the gates, and not at the GA parking spots. Yes, there is no other YPAD scenery out there for P3d, so it's OK. It's simple and flyable without a problem. But it's definitely one of the weaker AU sceneries, and certainly not the one I would choose in the first place, if it doesn't have to be exactly YPAD.

TROPICALSIM-2 - TROPICALSIM - ARUBA TNCA 2017 FSX P3D

All in all a good scenery. OK, it also has quite some blurry ground textures around the airport (and also inside the airport), and the texturing of the terminals is ...well, let's say, not bad, but a bit simple and clean. In comparison to their Curacao, a bigger area around the airport seems to be covered, and that brings some more atmosphere to the scenery. I couldn't see any bugs so far - no texture flickering and no elevation problems. Given the excellent performance, I would say this is one of the better Caribbean airports, even if not "high-end".

TROPICALSIM - CURAÇAO 2017 TNCC FSX P3D

Not bad, but nothing special in any way. I can't judge the accuracy, as I've never been there, but I believe people when they say it is accurate. I couldn't see any bugs and the scenery is running smooth. However, the textures appear quite washed and pale, and outside the runways and the apron, they are really blurry. That might help performance, but prevents quite some atmosphere, that the airport would need.

AEROSOFT - MEGA AIRPORT LONDON HEATHROW PROFESSIONAL P3D

The terminals really look good. And so do the taxiways, wheras the grass in between looks very artifitial, not even blurry, but pretty FS2002 like.. but OK, that's not a big deal. BUT: It has very bad FPS and really terrible texture loading times, even without any visual addon around it - and even without AI traffic (which surprisingly makes up only a marginal difference in performance despite the huge amout of planes). It usually takes half a minute until all building textures are loaded again each time after turning your virtual head - independant from the existence of other addons. I've got detailed sceneries of the busiest airports in the world, even with heavy landscape addons around them. But this is by far the worst performing one, even on my new system. I'm always on the edge of replacing this scenery with an older, lower res one, because it's really no fun to fly there with an airliner.

LATINVFR - FORT LAUDERDALE KFLL P3D

This scenery will remain one of my favourites in the whole P3d world! I love the airport itself and also the atmospheric rendition by LatinVFR. OK, I don't have TE Florida, but I do have LatinVFR Miami, and I never had any performance problems mentioned before. Might be possible that it needs quite some VRAM altogether (BTW, I have 8GB =_ RTX 2060 Super), but at least in P3d v4.5, I can't see any negative effect. I love the way LatinVFR gets atmosphere to their airports, and in this special case, I also love the sloped runway (which works flawless with AI traffic BTW). Again, in my eyes a very good rendition of KFLL and nothing to complain.

Little airport for little money. The scenery seems to end around the airport perimeter fence (and if not, there's little that really adds atmosphere around it). Nothing outstanding inside the airport area, but not bad either. Anyhow a nice little remote place to fly to, if you like exotic and challanging airliner approaches. And certainly worth to invest a few bucks if you like that kind of airports (especially when on sale). Would give it 3 stars. But + 1 star for creating such a good network of sceneries in places OUTSIDE NA or Europe!

100 points for finally making this much needed airport in P3d! It's done pretty well. And it has become one of my favourite airports in the sim - also thanks to a very good coverage of other airports in Colombia to fly to. OK, here and there, there are things that could have been improved, for example the aerial image that is not too sharp and looks a bit "flattend" from the approach view. Also, I wouldn't have complained about a little more surrounding scenery or a few things that create some more atmosphere, as the direct neighbourhood of the airport looks a bit "generic" even from the taxiways. On the other hand, performance is suffering enough even without additional eye candy. The terminals look great, SODE integration and night lighting work flawless, and I haven't found any bugs that would prevent you from enjoying this place. All in all, a pretty good rendition that everybody will love who wants to have a real hub in Colombia or in general in South America.

CAPTAIN SIM - 767 CAPTAIN II - (767-300ER) BASE PACK P3D4/5

CAPTAIN SIM - 767 CAPTAIN II - (767-300ER) BASE PACK P3D4/5

If you know what CaptainSim has been doing 10 years ago, you will be surprised by the price, but also by the quality of this 767. There will be many points where you notice that it's not completely on par with the few famous top notch developers of airliners for P3d (way less possibilities to configure individual cockpit settings, no datalink simulated, no random click sounds,... and many more). But it's definetely a good, functional and stable aircraft, despite some smaller bugs. CS airplanes have always looked good, and this is no exeption. Finally, even the VC lighting system has been significally improved. And *yay* finally at CS, you can hide the yokes! Just the virtual cabin makes no sense at all to me: In contrast to their 757, this is modelled in the outside model, which looks pretty blurry and disappears when you get too close with the viewpoint. So it's too bad to be "used", but "good enough" to waste some performance, which makes no sense to me at all. But apart from that, an aircraft you will definetely love to look at inside and outside. However, it's a bit of a shame that you need a third party freeware plugin to add a lot of immersion, because only then you will "feel" small, but important things like the transition sounds from external to APU power, proper APU sound from the outside, sounds of hydraulic systems,... I think that should be included for the price. In terms of systems, you can really call that a simulation with system depth. Important and obviously very difficult things like VNAV (descend path), some FMC functions, engine start sequence,... have finally been fixed by CS over the time. All in all, CS has made huge improvements in terms of systems in the last 10 years. (Well, that was urgently needed). They've listend patiently to customers' bug reports and improved their products constantly. And this is the way to go. The only real complain that I have is the price policy: It's simply too expensive! No doubt I would recommend this if you love the 767, and no doubt this is the best 767 you can get for P3d, but for more than 100€ you can get other aircraft that DO have the missing "top notch features" described above. You should also notice that only the PW engine passenger variant is included at this time. The GE (+ RR??) variant and cargo variants will most probably come as an extention pack, as usual. But if you know what prices such extention packs have been sold for for previous aircraft, this is simply too much for what it offers! I would tend to rate it 4.5 stars (because of the improvements CS have made), had it been 25€ cheaper, or had the GE variant been included. But the high price, combined with the missing engine variants, makes it only 4 stars for me at this stage.

TROPICALSIM - BUENOS AIRES EZEIZA SAEZ 2019 FSX P3D

TROPICALSIM - BUENOS AIRES EZEIZA SAEZ 2019 FSX P3D

It's an OK scenery. Modelling and texturing is not bad, but nothing special either. There's not a lot of scenery around the airport included, but it fits well into the environment (in my case ORBX OLC South America). It seems like an average mid quality, but high performance airport. For example the textures and details seem rather low, but stable. If this was the intention of the developer, it does a good job, even more when concidering the price, and the fact that they do some rather good sales from time to time. I hope there will be an update once the new terminal building is finished - which is still under construction here.

LATINVFR - FORT LAUDERDALE KFLL P3D

Well, no idea what went wrong there, but I never had those performance problems. Not even nearly. And if you don't have those, it's an amazing scenery! Not only because of the special runway, but because of the general look of the airport and its environment. This is really one of my favoutites and it's hard to decide wheather to fly from their Miami scenery or from this one.

DIGITAL DESIGN - LYON-SAINT EXUPERY P3D

Actually one of the best sceneries I've ever seen for P3d v4!! And believe me, I've really got lots of sceneries and there are quite some good scenery designers. But this one is really perfect in many ways. The area included isn't too big, but it fits very well into ORBX OLC Europe, and performance is very good. I don't know what else they do to the buildings (in comparison to other developers), but they look absolutely awsome!!

JUSTSIM - BARCELONA EL PRAT LEBL FSX P3D

JUSTSIM - BARCELONA EL PRAT LEBL FSX P3D

Finally a developer who really knows what's important and what isn't at the big airports! Some people might complain about missing ground traffic. But that's seems exactly what performance benefits from. Very good FPS and VAS use in P3D for a handful less ground equipment. That's what I'm missing at almost every other big European scenery. The buildings and the ground textures look very, very good. The contrast of colors has been matched very well, as well as the choice between sharp and low res textures, in my opinion. I'm looking forward for the upcoming releases of European airports that could finally replace other aging sceneries of those places. You could conclude that JustSim's sceneries don't look exactly as detailed as FlyTampa's, FSDT's and Flightbeam's sceneries. But they "feel" extremely well anyway because of their good performance. Furthermore they're relatively cheap. And the fast development times certainly don't make it worse.

TAXI2GATE - MEXICO CITY INTERNATIONAL MMMX V2 FS2004

TAXI2GATE - MEXICO CITY INTERNATIONAL MMMX V2 FS2004

Although I didn't hear a lot about this developer before the sceneries which I could buy with a discount at this time looked quite good. So I decided to buy this one and I must say it's absolutely stunning in my opinion! It offers everything you would expect from a state of the art airport scenery such as accurate building modelling, very crisp building and ground textures which look very realistic (really not "painted" as what some other developers at this time offer), modelling of the surrounding areas of the airport, moving vehicles and so on... I can't really say much about the performance of this scenery as all my FS9-sceneries run very well on my computer, no matter how much performance they really need. However, as there are some slight performance issues in time acceleration mode or in slew mode I could imaginge that things might look different in FSX. But what is sold seperately should be looked at seperately, isn't it!? For what I use it it's an absolutely nice scenery which I would recommend to everyone else who is interested in this particular place or even in any interisting Latin hub. The only thing that I don't understand is why only 1 of the other Taxi2Gate-sceneries ("Puerto Vallarta") is supported by AES, if all other sceneries by this developer are really as good as this one!
