REALWORLDSCENERY - FAIRBANKS ALASKA PAFA MSFS

REALWORLDSCENERY - FAIRBANKS ALASKA PAFA MSFS

It'll certainly do the job but I think there is room for improvement here. I'll try to keep this brief but my observations were - missing centreline lights on a number of taxiways in random sections - snow completely covering the main apron, runway and taxiways (I think this can be improved nowadays using the sdk) - floating crates that I spotted near the perimeter fence at the entrance (that one is nit picky admittedly but worth the mention) - A strange green tint to the windows (which only seems to be visible during the day. At night, the windows use a far better clear texture) - My GPU (an RTX 3070) usage spikes to 100% when looking at the main terminal. Whilst I didn't notice any major frame drops, for anyone with a lower spec GPU, I'd be curious how well it runs. - The scale of the windows and the positioning of them seemed a little off to me as well (maybe a bit too high in relation to the floor inside?) Granted a lot of this shouldn't affect your flying experience at all but for someone looking to buy this airport, never hurts to know beforehand. tl;dr: It's okay but could be better and I wouldn't blame anyone for sticking to the freeware version at this time.

FLY 2 HIGH - RJFM MIYAZAKI BOUGAINVILLEA AIRPORT MSFS

FLY 2 HIGH - RJFM MIYAZAKI BOUGAINVILLEA AIRPORT MSFS

I'm always happy to see more Japanese airports in the sim and I feel this has the makings of a 5 star airport however there's a few things which hold this one back I feel. It's great they've taken previous feedback onboard and improved the breakwater area and added some missing edge lights to the jetways. However, there are still quite a few jetway areas that are missing edge lights which can make taxiing at night a bit more challenging than it needs to be. Also despite the screenshots showing otherwise, large chunks of the ground floor texture inside the terminal appear to be missing. I've tried everything to try and fix the problem thinking maybe it was a problem on my end. I've tried clearing my rolling cache, deleting my scenery indexes, deleting my content.xml file and even loading just the airport by itself in the community folder. Sadly, none of this seems to have worked. I did convey these issues to the dev via email after they acknowledged the problems I had the first time but since the update was rolled out, it seems the texture issue has gotten worse. I don't appear to have this issue with any other airport I own so it's unfortunate it's happened here. Hopefully one day the issues will be sorted and I think a 5 star rating will be possible then.

I have a lot of Japanese airports in my collection and Tottori was an airport in Japan I didn't have yet. I feel it definitely ticked the boxes for me and whilst not as complex or in depth as some other airport sceneries out there, I honestly feel for the price and the overall presentation, this is a job well done and I appreciate the dev's efforts. Not to mention how helpful they were when I had questions. And as a side note, I really liked all the Detective Conan signage as well, it really added character to the place to make it feel like its real life counterpart. I would recommend picking this up if you like flying in Japan and would like another airport in the country to add to your collection.

I really like this airport! The attention to detail is fantastic. I was particularly impressed with the interior modelling and how it makes things feel a lot more life-like. I can really tell this project was a labour of love. And when I had questions or needed support from the dev, they were prompt and fantastic to deal with. Highly recommended :)
