I would like to modify my previous review. The plane honestly deserves five stars. I did not mean to suggest that it needed to be altered in order to function correctly. I was apparently the only one who had the gear problem and I fixed it with help from the good people at SwissMilSim.
Very nice plane. Looks good inside and out, and flies well. Requires hardly any tweaking.
Very high quality add-on and worth the price. I thought the ME-262 needed some tweaking, especially on the CG. A great surprise, however, was the ME-162. It's the first MSFS aircraft I felt absolutely no need to tweak. It flies like a dream and it's the reason I give the whole package 5 stars.
My review is somewhere in between the two previous reviews. I couldn't get the HUD or map to work at all, but the steam gauges seemed to work just fine. The sound was very good with no annoying noises. Most importantly, the flight model is excellent, particularly the automatic elevator trim. I tend to want to tweak most MSFS planes to make them fly well. With the F8 all I've done so far is to strengthen the wheel braking and widen the wheel base (both help ground stopping). I expect a fix for the avionics will be available before too long, so just buy it!
