Tropicalsim dropped the ball a bit on this one. A lot of attention was placed on the terminal but not on the surroundings of the airport. The rest of the airport looks a bit bland which is surprising as Tropicalsim scenery usually stands out more. The autogen/grass etc looks very dry throughout. I purchased not took long after the release but I wished I had waited just a little longer for SLH Design rendition of St. Kitts airport.
This is without a doubt an absolutely stunning rendition of ANR Robinson Intl Airport in Microsoft Flight Simulator. I highly commend the effort that this new developer put into creating such detail and immersion. The price is very reasonable for such a product and found no performance issues during testing. I would easily recommend this as a must have for anyone who enjoys flying in the Caribbean. I look forward to Wauchula Studio's next project.
Nice rendition of the airport. I like the fact that they have included a renovation airport update to the real world counterpart. My main fault is that I feel the developer can use higher resolution textures to make the scenery appear more true to life as with other top developers. On the other hand, Tropicalsim's pricing is very reasonable and with their regular sale on their products makes it nonetheless, an easy purchase. If you like flying to Curacao this is definitely a great addon to add to your collection.
A descent rendition of the real life airport im P3D. A considerable amount of detailed objects were implemented around the airport. The autogen surrounding the airport is nicely done and is well appreciated. However, I find that the textures are a bit low res in a few areas including the terminal building itself. The grass is also a bit oversaturated in my opinion. Hopefully updates addressing these issues will soon follow. Considering this the developer's first airport design for Prepar3D it is a great effort and overall I'm satisfied with my purchase.
Nicely modelled and detailed GA Airport at a very affordable cost. Initially, due to a MFS20220 update, the airport had issues with the trees on the runway and tarmac but on contacting the developer about it he was prompt in responding and preformed an update fixing these issues in a couple hours. He was Very professional and efficient.
I never thought I would have seen the day where a Cheddi Jagan airport would be well represented by a payware scenery developer in a flight sim, let alone in MFS2020. No negative performance impact and blends well with the surrounding scenery. It is a very simple airport but was modelled very well by the developer and looks great regardless of time of day. However the scenery is not up to date as it does not include the relatively recent expansion and reconstruction of the airport which includes jetways. Needless to say a job well done by FSXCENERY on this one.
If you like flying in Miami then this is a must have. For all the detail that was put in this product for under $11, it is well worth it.
I purchased this ad-don a few months ago and I must say it is a descent effort by one sole developer. Nice runway textures, scenery objects like vehicles, boats, satellite dishes etc. The fact that not only the airport was recreated but the entire island itself was reworked and considering the reasonable price I have to say im satisfied. That being said it does have some performance issues which resolving it requires removal of photo-scenery. Also the terminal building itself as small and simple as it is in the real life, has room for improvement in terms of texture quality. However the developer said their will be an update. Finally, a decent airport for Maurice Bishop International airport for FSX.
This product truly represents the real deal. The ambient sounds of the aircraft inside and out alone will blow you away. The systems, the controls,literal pre-flight check simulation, required periodic maintenance (optional),visuals etc is outstanding. I'm particularly pleased with the airspeed indicator, the VSI and altimeter. The ASI needle slightly fluctuates as the air is measuring and being calibrated from the pitot tube. The VSI from what I am seeing seems to simulate beautifully static and differential pressure and the latency effect of climb and descent indications. Sudden or abrupt changes in aircraft attitude will cause erroneous and unreliable instrument readings as air flow fluctuates over the static ports just like the real world aircraft. When i am practicing simulated engine failures and forced landings its easy to achieve best glide speed, the airspeed is not going to bleed off that quickly and easily with moderate to high winds and/or without the use of flaps, especially when doing a short approach that requires losing altitude more rapidly, an important characteristic I felt the Carenado C172 and C152 lacked. These are the vital instruments of the C172 and A2A certainly paid attention to that. But that is just touching the surface of what this product offers. If you are a C172 or C152 student pilot, private pilot or just an aviation enthusiast that demands for the highest in terms of aircraft simulation, look no further. Its the best piston engine and general aviation aircraft for FSX to date, PERIOD!
TAXI2GATE stepped up their game with this one. A lot of detail went into the airport area itself such as the airport buildings,taxi-signs,grass but especially the runway,apron and the painted parking spots,etc. The terrain at daytime from a birds eye view has a natural color contrast of green brown and reddish brown not being dull but not overly saturated and gives you the feeling to "fly around". TAXI2GATE apparently used a nice blend of both satellite imagery and hand placed scenery objects which is great so at altitudes 1500 feet and below you see accurately placed buildings,ships etc(which I verified with Google Earth)in detail and at altitudes 3000 feet and above the view looks just like real life/Google earth. The night lighting of the airport itself is impressive too but over the terrain and building areas are just satisfactory in my opinion.Unfortunately there is no PDF document provided with this product with general information about the airport so you have to get that information online. Last but not least,the performance hit on frames was minimal on my Mid-end PC. I look forward to their next release.
