Absolutely perfect rendition of my beloved Chiang Mai airport! The freeware version by Valentynns was really great, but as usual Siamflight just takes it to a whole other level. Totally in love with this scenery ... it was an immediate buy and an immediate flight there.
Absolutely beautiful! I also purchased the AviaJam Bangkok scenery when it came out a while back, and was happy to have it, but this stunning Samscene scenery was an immediate must-have as it just goes further and better. Day or night, whatever the weather, this scenery is a must-have for anyone with a connection to Bangkok!
Beautiful rendition of PTP airport! I was there in real life just this April, and the immersion factor of this virtual version is incredible. Very beautifully done, and not a flaw to be found.
I have never posted a review without first purchasing the product before, but I have to make an exception here, as there are a few "minor" points I see in the preview photos that are making me hesitate from purchasing: Image 3: Jetways in foreground disconnected from Concourse A (that's a long jump to board your plane). Also, the A380 maintenance hanger seems to be missing entirely at the rear left. Also, none of the iconic Lufthansa crane logos on the gates. Image 4, 13: there seem to be "a few" buildings missing between Terminal 1 and the Squaire ... Parkhouse P2, the Frankfurt Airport Center, the Frankfurt Airport Marriott, the iconic Sheraton Frankfurt Airport Hotel, and Parkhouse P4, to name just a few. Oh, and the bridge connecting Terminal 1 to the Squaire, but I don't want to nit-pick. Image 5: construction status of Terminal 3 seems to be "not started" Image 6: almost all jetways at T2 disconnected from Terminal 2. I could go on, but won't and will instead ask: was the release of this add-on accidental and premature? It seems to be pre-alpha. Apologies for the blunt words, but I'm honestly shocked and saddened. I have been waiting for a good payware EDDF since MSFS came out, and was overjoyed for a short moment when I saw this release ... until I saw the photos. I will keep my eyes out for a very large update, and won't hesitate to purchase if and when it comes, but in this state, the default MSFS version is superior.
I have been waiting for a good rendition of Suvarnabhumi since the day MSFS came out, so this release overjoyed me! This was a must-have for me, and I will give it 4 stars ... if half stars were possible, it would be 3 1/2 ... the release is quite good overall, but still rough around the edges. Ground-side textures are blurry, some signs (departures) are upside down, there are typos on the adverts, the highway ends suddenly and has no signs, and the night lighting of the terminal interior is missing. But it's by far the best version of BKK out there, and a solid offering by itself. Hoping very much for an update to fix the minor issues ... this can easily be made a 5-star scenery with just a bit more work from the dev! For a great in-depth review video, VirtualAirlinePilot on YouTube has done a 45 minute tour of the scenery ... it convinced me to buy it, and could be very helpful to anyone on the fence about it!
After such a very long wait since the release of MSFS for a good addon scenery of Phuket to be released, BDOaviation has finally made this dream become reality! And a very solid, good addon it is! The overall impression of the airport is very good, there is a good amount of ground clutter, and the international terminal has very good internal modelling as well! I would have wished for at least a bit of internal modelling of the domestic terminal as well, but that's a very minor complaint and not worth points off. All in all, I am absolutely thrilled by this scenery, which is my first (in any sim) from BDOaviation, and will certainly be keeping an eye on what they do next, now knowing the level of their work!
Very well-designed airport! Ground textures are nice and "dirty", gates dock well, there is interior terminal modeling in the international terminal (not in the domestic), and the landside areas are nicely done. No glitches or bugs noticed so far. I was at VVTS in 2015, and visiting there with this scenery does feel immersive and reminds well of being there. A worthwhile purchase and good value for the price!
