People in here has given this a 2-star review for the Xplane variant, but they critizice issues that are not the fault of Active Sky for XP, but are default Xplane limitations that HiFi-Sim (and on one else) can do anything about. Ive used HiFi-products for weather since they came out. I have also tried other products that was fine. But nobody beats AS for simulating weather. They are absolutely amazing.
Great details, superb FPS! Im gonna buy everything this guy sells. The airport is beautiful and I am enjoying my flights in and out of SFO so much more now.
For those who could not be bothered with, or have the time to do Ortho4XP, this one is for you. It is utterly worth the money. I say its worth even more! The difference between no SFD Global and SFD Global is significant and you will be flying around with a glee looking out the window, compared to default Xplane autogen. Gotta love SFD!
I think you will find this to be more than sufficient for your needs, if you desire to have a flight crew and passengers with you. Its easy to use, works like a charm and gives much fun. I only wish there had been at least two different sets of voices and some added ambience (cleaning/catering and other pre-boarding activities). Then it would have gotten a full score from me. Other than that, it was just perfect!
This aircraft is a fantastic representation of the A300 in every way. Not only are the sounds and behavior of the GE or PW engines superb, but the systems and EFB as well. One of the great features in the EFB is the performance calculation tool, a great aid for any serious simmer. The fact that they also put in animated ground services is a big plus. Having been a simmer since the 90s, and having had the pleasure of trying all sorts of aircrafts from different developers throughout the years (ranging from the iconic Dreamfleet 737-400 and PSS A3XX-series to LeonardoSH, Majestic Software and PMDG amongst others), I can only say that this is at least in the top 3 category for me, if not the very best aircraft I have flown in any sim. Other developers should take note and realize its not clever to demand the same amount (or close to it) of money for an add-on aircraft that is less developed than The IniBuilds A300. Excellent job and please keep this level of quality for your next aircrafts!
When a real life Dash8-Q400 captain shared his techniques on how to properly hand fly this machine down to the numbers and it actually worked, that's when you know you have a solid simulation of the real life counterpart. System-wise it is on par. If there is anything I could complain about, it must be that it is very difficult to fly it SIC (but then again, its illegal to do so in the real world and that is for a good reason:-)
WOW!! Thats a beauty! I've never been to KSFO in real life, but with all the details and flawless scenery i just have to give it a 5 star! Its well worth the money. I shure loved the veichles and monorail connecting the terminals. The first final approach i had was stunning.. cant wait to get more flights in and out of this beauty airport. Keep up the good work FlyTampa! :-)
