AREZONE-AVIATION SOUNDSTUDIOS - CESSNA CITATION 560XLS SOUNDSET

AREZONE-AVIATION SOUNDSTUDIOS - CESSNA CITATION 560XLS SOUNDSET

To validate my reasoning for this review, I've worked around Citation XL/XLS a good portion of my life while working on the ramp at a local airport. I've had the opportunity to fly aboard on some XLs numerous times, and have spent quite a lot of time in and around them in general. When takeoff thrust is set, it sounds nice, I'll give it that. The ground roll noise seems a bit too loud though. The exterior sounds don't really sound much like the Excel; having worked around these aircraft, and it does not remind me of being next to one unfortunately (nor inside). The wind noise (not sure if it really is that) while at idle is a little distracting as it sounds very low quality and loud. The start-up sound on the inside is fine at first, but as soon as N1 rises, there is a deafening noise that almost sounds like the wind noise mentioned above. It also sounds like it's from outside. The shutdown sounds are also a bit aggressive; large transition from idle to a "POW!" shutdown. I was really excited to see what this sound pack would be like, especially being a huge fan of the XLS, but I'm sorry to say that I was a bit disappointed in spending the money I had on this. There are a number of videos on YouTube of Citation XLs and XLS+, specifically from AirborneThrust that include both interior and exterior sounds of the aircraft. I'm willing to give this another shot if there are improvements/updates to this product. However, I'm currently a bit unsatisfied with this.
