Benchmark for an FSX UH60/70 is of course the Aerosoft product, whih is a lot about flying the systems (a pity the AP only works up to 60 knots forward speed), an Airbus with a rotor so to speak. For people having fond memories of the iconic Longbow by the now defunct Jane's developers and enjoyed not only the killing, but the NOE flying with a big utility helicopter, this is the bird. Also easy to fly, not a dodosim blood sweat and tears adventure. It is light on framerates and you can put it to good use in Europe's Afghanistan (mountaineous terrain inhabited by unconquered and proud tribal people), a.k.a Switzerland :).

I know France VFR as a decent publisher of landscapes for several years and I know LFSB as a passenger quite well. Unfortunately, this airport scenery does not meet the standards for Swiss airports set by FSdreamteam (Zurich, Geneva), not even what you would expect from a polished J. Unglaub freeware scenery (google LFSB FS9). Major issue are 2 missing textures and a very low resolution photoreal ground map. The framerates are also quite poor, was Gmax used? Do yourself a favor, save 20 Euros and stay away from France VFR for the moment (note that they were not able to go to 1.2m scenery). I know they can improve, they were a leading publisher a few years ago. Let's give them an incentive, sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind.

I bought the Epic by Lionheart because I wanted a plane like the PC12, but with a full glass cockpit. The Epic is basically a top of the line freeware product, but nothing in this package makes her a "must buy". The most appropriate comparison is a Socata 700, which is freeware. Leafing through the wrong checklist (for a Beech 350, actually) which comes with the plane, does not improve the impression. Visiting the Web Page of the author for advice (support section), you will not find any, however, a thorough course in philosophy, especially Chritian one is supplied under a different header (worth reading, but somewhat misplaced). A hint how to upgrade the avionics suite would have been even more appreciated. Verdict: Not worth buying if you are accustomed to Flight1 standards, you just can't go back, PC12 rules.
