VIRTUALCOL - EMBRAER 190-195 REGIONAL JETS FOR FS2004

VIRTUALCOL - EMBRAER 190-195 REGIONAL JETS FOR FS2004

Despite the missing texture issue I went ahead and bought this as I really wanted a decent Embraer package that was easier to fly than other offerings, and I was confident, on the strength of other reviews, that the missing textures for the ground service vehicles would be sent promptly upon my request. The aircraft is actually really nice, the screen shots don't do it justice, the panel and systems have just enough functionality to give you some procedures to follow without spending hours learning how to use a complex FMC. I would actually give the plane 4 stars, but customer support gets 0. 5 days and 2 requests later, I am still waiting for the developer to send me the missing textures. This is not good enough for a payware product. I figured out that the 170-175 package probably uses the same textures for the catering trucks, so out of frustration I bought that as it is now on offer and really cheap. I was then able to fix the 190-195 package myself by copying the catering truck texture files from the 170-175 package into the 190-195 package. It is just 2 little bmp files. Other vendors correct and update their installers when there are issues or patches so that new and existing customers can download a product that is actually fit for purpose. Not so in this case. There isn't even a patch on the developers website to correct this issue. This is not acceptable for a payware product.

ONET VALLEY - YANGON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT MYANMAR FS2004

ONET VALLEY - YANGON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT MYANMAR FS2004

My first and last purchase of an Onet Valley product. The scenery has good potential, but as mentioned by other reviewers, the default scenery bleeds through the ground textures and I have also noticed that the AFCAD is broken, causing AI aircraft to stack up at the runway holding point and never take off. The surrounding photo scenery contains no autogen, therefore the airport looks as though it is located in the middle of a green wilderness. One could reasonably expect no support for a freeware product, however, when you have paid good money for something that is unfinished, clearly not sufficiently tested, and which has many faults, to then ignore requests for support from the customer is totally unacceptable.
