Oi4FS(Opencockpits interface for MS Flight Simulator) is a new rksoftware that lets you use Opencockpits modules with MSFS airplanes.
In Oi4FS v1.0 there is support for the MSFS default airplanes that use the Garmin Navigation System, so you can use your Opencockpits modules, like COMs, NAVs, ADF, ATC, MCP, and EFIS to control the Garmin systems in MSFS default airplanes.
As the new MSFS is ideal for VFR flying and many default airplanes use the Garmin navigation system, using your Opencockpits modules instead of mouse clicking will greatly increase the flying immersion.
Oi4FS takes over for OC4BAv5 and additional add-on drivers and scripts for MSFS's B747 and B787 will hopefully be released soon after the MSFS SDK has been updated with more available Events for default airplanes.
PMDG 737, 747, and 777 drivers are also planned to be add-ons for Oi4FS.
It is easy to make a "ONE TIME" configuration and setup.
Oi4FS supports the OC4BAv5 drivers for the FSX and Prepar3D, so you can continue to also use these flight sim platforms.
Additional drivers will be sold as add-ons for Oi4FS.
As MSFS is a brand new flight simulator with an evolving SDK and Simconnect system, Oi4FS is not going to interface all functions in all default airplanes at release time.
These issues will be ironed out during the continuous development of Oi4FS and when more data and updated SDK and Simconnect functions are available.
If you order Oi4FS now, you will support rksoftware to continue to develop Oi4FS and let you use your OpenCockpits modules also in MSFS.
