This is one surprising plane. I’d never heard of it until I saw it on the Market. The cockpit is really nicely done. Very realistic gauges and some of the best I’ve seen for an old warbird remake. The exterior textures are just as nice.
It flies a bit on rails, but that is really common. I say “a bit” because at times it seems to have natural responses that feel more realistic. It’s hard to pin point where those differences are but the stall mechanics stand out as over simplified where the turbulence response feels more realistic.
The engine sounds are really good and so is most of the lighting. Externally lights appear as expected. However from inside the cockpit the wing tip lights are off and above the wings which is distracting at times.
There is no touch down or wheel audio and hardly any wind sounds FX. I don’t like any plane that doesn’t have a realistic audio change when you open the canopy and this is one of those that sounds the same open or closed.
If some of these little things were given more attention it could’ve been a 5 star plane. No chance of that happening anymore, but I still think it’s a nice plane to have and I enjoy flying it. Plus it has smoke effect and that’s cool.
