The city of Novy Urengoy is one of the northernmost cities in Russia, where 9 months a year is winter.

Talking about the "oil and gas producing capital" of Russia (the unspoken name of Novy Urengoy), it is worth noting the special geographical position of the city - the city is located in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, a few kilometers south of the Arctic Circle. The airport serves about one million passengers a year and receives various types of aircraft, for example, Boeing 737, Airbus A320, SSJ-100, and so on.
