Ankara Esenboğa Airport ( ICAO: LTAC , IATA: ESB) is the international airport serving the capital city Ankara. It has been operating since 1955 and it ranks 5th in terms of passenger traffic among airports in Turkey, with 13,7M passengers in 2019. The airport is located northeast of Ankara, 28 km from the city center.

The airport currently has two parallel runways, one of which is CAT III. A new parallel runway is under construction to the east of the terminal. The airport also hosts ATC training center and the simulator building. There is also the Grand Honor Hall (Foreign Guests Mansion) for state protocol and for foreign high rank visitors. The current new domestic and international flights terminal building was completed in 2006.

The airport is a hub for AnadoluJet and Turkish Airlines.

Good airport, nice location Pros - Each gate has good modeling and jetways, very clean and textures are good Runway textures are very nice Outside modeling is decent Cons - Lack of life at the airport - few moving people, vehicles, very barren area Distinct lack of interior modeling. None on the inside and very few details on the dropoff area Gates are pretty barren as well in terms of moving objects/assets If you like the area, find this on sale, and have GSX or live traffic, it could really spice it up, and it would be worth the sale price.

Airport textures and gates are good. I see a distinct lack in any interior modeling and just feels like the airport is a little bare with no vehicles moving or more detailed ground objects besides textures
