Details

The "Enrico Comani" Military Airport in Latina is the home of the 70th Wing of the Italian Air Force. The wing is a basic flight school (Phase I), placed under the command of the Schools Command of the Air Force and 3rd Air Region based in Bari. The mission consists in selecting and training future military pilots of the Air Force, Italian Army, Guardia di Finanza, State Police and frequenters of other Nations. The 207th Flight Group is subordinate to the Wing. The aircraft currently in use at the 70th Wing is the T-260B, alias Leonardo SF260EA. the Echo Bravo is the evolved version of the SF 260AM, then built by SIAI Marchetti, version in use at the 70th since 8 March 1976.
