La Aurora International Airport (Spanish: Aeropuerto Internacional La Aurora, IATA: GUA, ICAO: MGGT) serves Guatemala City, Guatemala. It is located 6.4 km (4.0 mi) south of Guatemala City's center and 25 km (16 mi) from Antigua Guatemala. It is administered by the Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil.

El Aeropuerto Internacional La Aurora es el principal aeropuerto de Guatemala. El aeropuerto experimentó una importante modernización y expansión. Ahora puede aceptar un mayor número de vuelos y aeronaves de mayor tamaño. Ofrece instalaciones de alta calidad a los viajeros. La antigua terminal ha sido renovada respetando su diseño original. Fue parcialmente demolida y ampliada con una nueva explanada de cristal, y ahora tiene capacidad para veintidós aeronaves. El proyecto principal se completó en diciembre de 2008. Actualmente, el aeropuerto cuenta con dos terminales: Central y Norte.

This is a very cool airport, set in the middle of a busy urban area. There is a lot going on and the buildings around the field all look fantastic. The terminal itself is really well done with those cool glass jetways. A challenging approach as well. Very cool airport!

I expected something better from Sierrasim. It is "so white". I am waiting for a fix for this. I am coming from FSX and PD3, and I am sure that we have better MGGT over there.

Nice job from Sierrasim. The special thing is that the airport is located in the middle of the city. You end up between the houses. The landscape with the volcanoes, mountains and valleys contributes to the overall atmosphere. What I particularly like about the airport itself is that the differences in height between the taxiways, runway and parking areas have been implemented. I also like the different lighting of the airport area, with bright terminal aprons and dark GA storage rooms. What could be improved with version 1.0? I would like to see more baggage carts, containers, ground vehicles and static GA aircraft standing around. At the two ends of the runway a row of bushes, walls or fences that visually delimit the airport area better. A few parking spaces in the AFCAD for small aircraft in the GA parking area. Gute Arbeit von Sierrasim. Das besondere ist, das der Flughafen sich mitten in der Stadt befindet. Man landet zwischen den Häusern. Die Landschaft mit den Vulkanen, Bergen und Tälern, trägt zur gesamten Stimmung mit bei. Am Flughafen selbst gefällt mir besonders, das die Höhenunterschiede der Rollwege, Startbahn und Abstellflächen umgesetzt wurden. Auch die unterschiedliche Ausleuchtung des Flughafengeländes, mit hellen Terminal Vorfeldern und dunklen GA Abstellhallen, gefällt mir. Was könnte man bei der Version-1.0 noch verbessern? Ich würde mir wünschen, das mehr Gepäckwagen, Container, Bodenfahrzeuge und statische GA Flugzeuge herumstehen. An den beiden Enden der Startbahn noch eine Reihe Büsche, Mauern oder Zäune die das Flughafengelände optisch besser eingrenzen. Ein paar Abstellplätze im AFCAD für Kleinflugzeuge im Bereich der GA Abstellhallen.

Really well done! Great modelling and texture quality, and no performance impact. I'm glad someone is modelling these often forgotten Central American airports in such high quality. Now we just need MSLP! :)

Excelente amigos. As a real GA pilot myself I really enjoyed the real world references that you could see all around the airport and general aviation sections. The terminal is just as it is, almost all hangars are in place with their real world shapes. The only thing that I would like to be improved is the general aviation streets from Aeroclub and Interiores del Echo, many simmers are also general aviation pilots that would love to recreate the proccess from the starting point and taxing inside the hangar complex. I'm very happy with my hometown airport in MSFS, Finally. Cheers.
