Why Piracy Hurts Everyone

Consequences of Piracy

  • Legal Risks: Engaging in piracy can lead to severe legal consequences, including fines and prosecution.
  • Security Threats: Pirated software often carries malware, risking your personal data and system security.
  • Lack of Support: Unauthorized copies do not receive official support or updates, leading to potential issues and vulnerabilities.

How You Can Help

  1. Purchase Legitimately: Always buy add-ons from authorized sellers like SimMarket to ensure you receive authentic products.
  2. Report Piracy: If you encounter pirated add-ons, report them to the authorities or the original creators.
  3. Educate Others: Spread awareness about the negative impacts of piracy and encourage others to support developers by purchasing legitimate copies.

Details

Alicante is a typical mediterranean town that combines the essential tranquility of a provincial capital city with the flair of a lively and bustling tourist centre. The town itself can be described as vivid, or even radiant and was well known to both the Greeks who named it 'Akra Leuka', (white fortress) and the Romans who named it Lucentum or City of light. 711 saw the arrival of the Arabs who named the town Madina Laquant which led to its present name of Alicante and Jaime II reconquered the town in 1296 which was subsequently integrated into the kingdom of Aragon. Las Hogueras is a festival which takes place each year between the 20th and the 24th of June and is celebrated with massive firework displays. This festival is similiar to the festival Fallas in Valencia. Also the annual historical festival Moros y Cristianos (Muslims and Christians) is a further tourist attraction that has its roots in the time of the Arabian occupation of Spain. You can see the firework at 24/6 about 11 p.m. in this scenery. Today the favourable climate and the beautiful beaches (El Postiguet, La Albufereta y Sant Joan) have made Alicante the touristic capital of the Costa Blanca. An further important part of the local economy comes from marine trading with products from the citrus fruit plantations in the region as well as industry, (metal and chemicals). The international airport El Altet is situated 12 km outside of the town and has a modern terminal which is well able to cope with the increasing number of tourists that flock here every year during the summer. A particular architectural highlight is the very modern tower. Alicante El Altet deals with a large number of charter and scheduled flights for holiday tourists from all directions and the capacity has increased to around 6 million passengers per year.
