French Air Force Airbase 118 "Colonel Rozanoff" is located in the city of Mont de Marsan, in the Landes region.
The Airbase had an important role in the Harmattan Operation, codename for the french airstrikes on Lybia, with the objective to help the lybian population defeating Mouammar Ghaddafi, the lybian dictator.
