SkyParot 06 Relax is a standalone EN-A style training paraglider for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. It simulates a slow, stable, and forgiving modern training wing with a glide ratio of approx. 1:8, around 20 km/h cruising speed, and approx. 50 km/h maximum speed. It is an ideal hometrainer for paragliding-beginners, landing practice, slow flight, weather experience, and relaxed scenic flying.

Product Description

SkyParot 06 Relax is a standalone paraglider aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. It is designed to simulate the flight behaviour of a modern training paraglider in the EN-A category.

This model is not intended to be a fast or highly agile performance wing. Instead, SkyParot 06 Relax focuses on slow, forgiving, and stable flight. It is made for beginners, training flights, landing practice, local orientation, and learning how different weather situations affect a paraglider in MSFS 2024.

The wing has a glide ratio of approximately 1:8, a typical cruising speed of around 20 km/h, and a maximum speed of approximately 50 km/h. Control inputs are intentionally soft and forgiving. If the pilot releases the controls, the paraglider naturally tends to return to a stable flight attitude.

This makes SkyParot 06 Relax well suited for low-speed flying, approach practice, soft landings, and scenic exploration close to the terrain. It is also useful for virtual pilots who want to gain a better feeling for terrain, wind, thermals, and weather conditions before moving to more dynamic SkyParot models.

SkyParot 06 Relax is not aimed at pilots looking for high glide performance, sharp handling, or agile manoeuvres. For that type of flying, the more advanced SkyParot models are the better choice.

Important Difference To Other SkyParot Models

SkyParot 06 Relax represents the beginner and training class of the SkyParot range. It has its own flight model and handling behaviour. Compared with SkyParot 08 Advanced, SkyParot 09 Travel, or the faster sport models, it flies slower, reacts more gently, and is designed to be more stable and forgiving.

My rateing: 4.5 Stars I really appreciate the development of these Paragliders for the Sim. They fill a gap between the fixed wing gliders, the Paramotor Trike, Hanggliders and the flyndive Paramotor that I was looking forward to seeing in the Sim. For the easiest approach to Paragliding in sim this addon does the task. It is correctly listed as Glider and therefore can be launched by winch launch. The addon did improve a lot with the update to v1.2: - enabled generic sim wind sound - improved model detail - added a basic instruments for orientation, position, airspeed and vertical speed It maked the addon way more usable and massively increases the fun. some critique points stay open: - no animations (controls, canvas or steering) - variometer probably just shows vertical speed (needs testing) - no groudn handling - no textures on the harness and strings After seeing the progress I am confident that the addon will be worked on and quality will increase step by step. For now I think it may be valid payware but the price is too high for its current state. I must say the concept and flight model is fun. gliding on treetop high in the alps touching the branches with your virtual pilot's feet. I hope the developer will continue improving the model, refineing the variometer. Looking forward to adapting my rating in the future. The addon has much potential.

I really appreciate the development of these Paragliders for the Sim. They fill a gap between the fixed wing gliders, the Paramotor Trike, Hanggliders and the flyndive Paramotor that I was looking forward to seeing in the Sim. For the easiest approach to Paragliding in sim this addon does the task. It is correctly listed as Glider and therefore can be launched by winch launch. That said for a low priced payware addon it is missing some basic features I would expect from a payware addon: - no sound at all (canvas or wind) - no animations (controls, canvas or steering) - no instruments at all - polygon count and texture detail apart from that some paraglider specific features are missing to turn it into a functioning operational paraglider: - basic instruments for airspeed and variometer - basic ground handling to run and launch from cliffs It makes sense that a paraglider does not feature a full cockpit. but including a small instrument like the skymaster including an airspeed indicator and a variometer would be very handy to get basic information. Does not even have to be a custom UI, maybe the default attitude display with speed and altitude tape was sufficient. For now we have to enable the UI gauges, really killing the immersion. I do not think the current overall quality of textures, model, sound and instruments justify the price of this add-on. On the other hand, the concept and flight model is fun. gliding on treetop high in the alps touching the branches with your virtual pilot's feet. I really hope this release is an early approach and the developer will continue adding sounds, improving the model and adding basic instruments and a variometer. Sadly no planned future work is included in the description. Looking forward to adapting my rating in the future. The addon has potential but in my oppinion is not on payware level yet.
